A new route and a bothering cat and a new cue

Hi all woofers and humans:
I know I am not writing much lately, mainly because Chris is working
full speed on some kind of a test she has to pass before next week, and
because she is doing quite a lot of things for the Mr Music man.

However, I have managed to sneak on the keyboard to waste some of my own
and steel some of Chris' time. Two days ago she taught me a new route,
together with mom. We walked through the vilage, and I ran over a tiny
curb. How am I supposed to know that now she wants me to stop at every
single one of them, when before I was allowed to run over the tiny ones
and stop only at the ones where Chris could fall! Someone understand
these humans!
But I did well, crossed the street and found her a door. The only trick
to it was that this gate has two doors, and Chris wants me to show her
the left one. Tricky but yummy. Whenever I found the left door handle
allright, I got a click and soon after a treat.
She says it doesn't matter whether a few seconds pass or not once I have
it down, because the click is reward enough for me to pause and turn my
head to her right, where the treat bag is attached to the pocket of her
pants.

Well we then walked along for our leisure route, and just a meter beside
me there was this cat dozing on the warm pavement of the footpath. How
on this planet was I to pass by that critter without any sign of
reacting and defending Chris? I jumped forward first. That stupid thing
just hissed and never moved. Chris made a few more steps forward, so I
jumped for that bothering black thing again. This time she hissed mre
and fled to the other side of the street, where she belongs. Go up a
tree if you wish, but just don't bother me, or even worse, Chris, my
poor Chris.
When I encounter a cat, she's always calm and just stops me from raising
too much stress. But I think she doesn't mind my heroic defense system.
Because I know what she knows and all of her friends know - she doesn't
like cats and will never love them...

O hold on, she just told me that there was one single outside cat she
liked, but that was before my time and doesn't count, and she won't love
another cat anyway. So no bother <relief>

And finally, today Chris had the idea of teaching me to touch her hand
with the soft fluffy part of my hand between my ears and back. She holds
out her hand with the palm down. I am clever and try to move her hand
back with my nose. Sometimes it works, but when it does, I don't get the
click and the yummy for her hand touching my head. I only get the treat
when I actually move my head under her hand, but that's fun, for I get
not only the treat, but also the scratch. We do have fun with each
other.
Chris also makes me sit behind her back. That's weird, how does she kow
when I sit when she stands facing me with her back? Well I guess that is
because her eyes don't work anyway, front or back, she is smarter than
eyes.
We also play tennis ball a lot. When Chris doesn't catch the ball that
bounces back from the wall, I am there to catch it for her and give it
back in eschange for ... A click and a treat most of the times. It's a
fun game, I even sometimes prefer ball play to mom's pets.
You see, it's a lot of tiny small events that keep us busy, but it is
funfunfun. Cheers and goodnight, Hapoo.
