an interesting day once again

Hi all:

A few days ago we had a really long weekend, Chris and I. We left work early, and Chris was really cheerful, because she was going to watch tennis for three days. And that's what she did, she was glued to the TV and watched tennis. She says in the end Spain won, but without Rafa and another man called Ferrer they really had to fight hard. The doubles and the decider were straight, but the rest were very intense battles. She says that this was the event she had planned to go see, but watching it at home was as nice.

In the middle of all this mom arrived and we went shopping. Chris bought a new TV, where the electricity cable was missing. She was really disappointed, but mom, the greatest mom of all, went and got a cable for her, bringing along the lady friend of hers, who gave me pets and cuddles while mom and Chris were setting up the TV. And when it was all done, the ladies left and Chris settled in to watch tennis, of course. I have to tell you that the new TV looks more like a PC monitor, it is flat and much tinier than the old one. Chris exchanged them because the old one showed no pictures - as if she had cared!

After that tennis weekend we still didn't return to work, but the next morning Chris got up, prepared tons of coffee and even baked a cake. Then we relaxed and I got a few yummy treats. I need to mention that the phone rang a few times. In the afternoon after the Hapoo walk the doorbell rang and Chris left alone to meet somebody on the stairs. She returned with a package. It was from Daniel, the man who had visited the previous weekend. And as she unpacked it, she knew what it was.

She says he was such a good listener, he gave her the Eurovision CDs of this year, you know that contest where many people sing, folks call to tell numbers, and at the end one song is played again and the singer is happy unlimited. And so was Chris, because she really liked that present.

Then the doorbell rang again, and this time mom and the niece Lena arrived, followed by the sister and the tiny dog. Cake was brought in and many flowers, which Chris was really happy about, and then they talked until the niece got bored and persuaded the sister to go to the playground.

Mom, Chris and I went to the supermarket very quickly, and after that we all took a long walk, on which the niece picked flowers again, and mom shared her knowledge of the weirdest wild plants.

When we were back, the niece played again on the tiny playground, and then we all went for food. We ended up at a Chinese place, where we sat down outside. but when the man came, he told us we could go inside, all of us even the dogs, and sit. The humans sat at a large table, and we dogs settled behind them. They all enjoyed their meal very much, and when they were finally done, the weather was still so good that Chris had the idea to go to the beach. om was tired, so we didn't after all.

Chris got a few more phone calls and talked and talked,  but the next day we had to go to work again. She calls that event her birthday.
Allright, off to get her to shut down the PC so we can run to work, Yours, Hapoo in the hot northern summer.
