A lot of running

Hi all:
Yesterday in the afternoon Chris put aside the work that she had almost
been obsessed with and started running around like mad. She moved her
bed from the couch to her bedroom, put away dirty dishes and stuff like
that, and then the cousin and her daughter showed up. The humans had
food and coffee, and then all of us went for a wonderful walk in the
mild autumn weather. We walked along the field route, up the hill right
in the middle of the field, and I was allowed to run off leash.
That was wonder-wonder-wonderful!!! I ran and jumped all around Chris
and the cousin and play barked and ran some more, o that was such a joy.
And from time to time the little girl gave me pets. Then when we were
almost on the way home Chris decided to go the round trip, along the
side of the field and on the romantic route, back to the street and then
home. We had such a long walk!
Along came the border colly lady. She kept barking at me from a
distance, although I didn't even growl or bark at her. I just looked in
her direction. Chris didn't even attempt to pet her, thank God! And her
man had trouble making her go on. Silly girl, this time I really didn't
scare her, I promise!
Back at home after the cousin and her daughter were gone, I even got a
rope playing session! I so love it when Chris plays with me!
And today - what a joy - mom came back with a little girl - a niece and
the little tiny dog. He's allright, but he also wants pets from Chris. I
don't mind, Chris told me off bothering her, and so the niece petted me,
and Chris petted her dog. Fair deal if you ask me.
Allright, I gotta go, old lady Chris wants to go sleep, cheers, Hapoo.

A marathon day

Hi all:
Today was a real marathon day. In the morning everything was allright -
Chris and mom had breakfast down here, and then mom went to sleep. She
was quitesick these past days, so Chris says she needs a lot of sleep.
Anyway Chris and I had to go on the morning walk, and I am getting
better again at using my toiletting harness. Chris says I should,
because it has travelled here all the way from Australia.
After mom had woken up, the ladies discussed something and then we hit
the road. We first stopped at a place where I wasn't allowed inside -
another supermarket. 'They stayed in there forever, but when they
returned, they took me for a short free run, so I could do all my
businesses in the world.
Then we continued to another supermarket, where the ladies bought some
stuff for baking. And then on to yet another supermarket, where they
bought more baking stuff. Chris says she bought the basis for my Hapoo
biscuits. They didn't buy anything for me. So for a revenge after they
had had a coffee and cake break, I tried to take Chris behind the bakery
counter. O mom told on me, how bad bad bad!
I got my share of Chris' carot later in the evening when we were at
home. Carot is the only thing I am allowed to beg for.
Cheers, Hapoo.

The therapy dog

Hi all woofers and humans:
You should have heard Chris shouting and cussing and raging the other
day!
She was in the kitchen, trying the freezer drawer with all that yummy
Hapoo stuff in it - like duck feet, Hapoo fish and chicken meat! But
that thing wouldn't open! She pulled and pulled until she almost broke
the small plastic handele. So she slammed the freezer door shut, slammed
the kitchen door shut and collapsed on the couch after some shouting and
yelling and hollering that I hadn't heard before. I think she was pretty
frustrated about something. It's autumn, maybe she is sick of that!
So anyway: immediately after she lay still on the couch, I came up to
her, all wagging and nose under arm and making my tiny squeeky noises.
My good old girl even managed to smile and tell me it was allright. And
then I was treated for a specialty - a hop up on the couch beside Chris.
Of course not near the face at all. And I was a good girl and jumped
down upon first command. But I think she liked that cuddle and I managed
to make her laugh. And at noon I got duck fish. And to make matters
better, tonight I got half Hapoo fish and half Hapoo kibble.
And besides, who is that flirting with Chris here? I thought only Shadow
can do that? Talking about Shadow - I want Shadow! Dear Shadow! In case
you are reading this, Chris wants you to know that she is even
attempting to teach me to touch her hand without licking it. But I
needn't tell you that this is a really really really tough thing to
learn!
Cheers, Hapoo.

The city trip

Hi all:
Today the nephew, mom and Chris and I went to the city. I got the chance
to guide Chris through crowds of people and find mom in all of that
motion. We went to a store where the nephew looked at a lot of things
and finally didn't buy anything. Then we went to pick up a few things
for Chris, and then all the three of them decided that they were hungry.
So we went to the pasta place and Chris put me under the table while she
had food, of course, as always.
After that we went into a few more shops, the humans had ice-cream and
then we went into the cinema. I lay down at Chris' feet. You know, there
are two ways for me to lie down: One is so that I a only under Chris'
seat with my back and look out into the footspace in front of her. Or O
lie down under more seats and only my paws stick out. I am a long
woofer, not my fault. But this time I lay head into the footspace, so
folks had to step over me. One woman didn't manage, that clumsy thing
stepped on my foot and wondered why I was yelping. She was about to open
a box about dogs in the cinema when she saw my bright orange signal
jacket. Stupid blind person, doesn't belong on this planet in my
opinion!
Beside the nephew there was a little boy who was much nicer and even
asked Chris why she was watching this kind of movie after the show. It
was about soccer and the huge celebration we had in Germany during the
summer. She also told the boy that she loved tennis, and he had fun with
that.
When we walked out of the theater, I walked in front of mom with Chris.
I avoided people or made sure they moved out of the way. I even sniffed
one to achieve my goal, but Chris told me off. Mom was pretty happy when
we were out, for we went really fast, she only had to follow us.
Back at home it was raining, but I had a blast running off leash in that
slight cold rain for sure. I think the nephew is leaving tomorrow, what
a pity, I love his pets!
Have a good night all, cheers, Hapoo.
P.s.: I tried to catch a human biscuit out of Chris' hand that she was
passing to mom in front of my nose tonight. I got sent to my place. And
when Iwas called back out, Chris sat on the floor right beside my head
and ate these sweets. Cruel girl, so I eventially went ack to my place
and never came out again. Final goodnight!

The rabbit adventure

Hi all:
Today we finally went out again. Well yesterday Chris and I went to the
post office, and she said I did well. Then later mom returned and
accompanied us on the Hapoo walk. But today we went shopping.
First they went into the store where I wasn't allowed, so I hadto stay
in the car.
But then we went into the Hapoo store. After we had picked up
everything, mom decided that I should see the rabbits.Of course I did
see them, but I wanted to chase one. Ouch, that was my nose on one of
those stupid human inventions, a glass. A window kept me from chasing
the rabbit, it just squeezed my nose. And on top of that I received a
correction like I hadn't had for a long time. The harness flung back and
I was mighty surprised. I still found it hard to focus until recognized
that we were going to the counter. There I knew that it was time to sit
down and wait patiently while Chris chatted with the lady and paid, and
then we left. We went to the big supermarket, uneventful. But then on
the way out we met the former priest, my friend, who had accompanied me
and Chris on many many walks. She gave me pets on the head and left to
go shopping, while her husband had a drink with us. Cool, I loved seeung
her again!
From there we went home and the day was uneventful, until the nephew
came, he's so cool and pets and pets me for hours. I think he is staying
until Friday, so I'm going to have fun.
Have a good night, I'll go and beg for my food now, cheers, Hapoo.
