Music man vs. Tennis man - and the cats' tale

Hi all:
While Shadow is reading the newspaper, I have some time to reflect on
things. I heard Chris saying that she is not taking me to see the Mr
Music Man after all. He is bringing a few noise makers with him that he
calls excellent musicians, which means that I cannot accompany Chris.
She loves the noisy folks and thinks the show is going to be nicer with
them, but I wanted to see Mr Music Man! It seems this is one of the
things I will not achieve in my life with Chris, and it is going to be a
dream forever.
See, this is the advantage the tennis man has over Mr Music - I could at
least see him from close by, although he keeps ignoring me and making
sure there is always a barrier between the two of us, plus he never
shares the fun of playing balls with me. The world is unfair to Hapoos
like myself!

I can prove that fact with one more event that happened this morning. On
the Hapoo walk with Chris this morning, while Shadow and mom were both
asleep, I saw a cat and attempted a nice swift jump forward. Chris
reacted quickly, as always, and kept me firm on leash. I indicated
several more times that I saw the cat and was willing to jump forward to
play chase, but Chris just wouldn't give in! Do you really think that's
fair when I make my wish so clear?
Woofwoof, but I won't complain too much, since both mom and Shadow have
recently treated me for nice things, be it some saussage or remaining
chicken - delicious!
Cheers for the moment, Hapoo the cat chaser.

The parties and I

Hi all woofers, wooferesses, humans and humanesses:
In case you thought I had died - no, that is not the case at all. I
returned on Monday with Chris and Shadow, but she never let me use the
computer until now. Even she herself bairly checks her emails and then
runs again.

Anyway, we left home that one day, mom, Chris and I, and ended up at the
sister's home with my friend, the outside dog. Of course, we played ball
with Chris and ran and ran. The next day Chris prepared the fruit salad
and slept a lot, until in the evening people started arriving. The
outside dog was locked up inside his house, because the little children
are afraid of him. And I, too, had to stay on the short leash, so I
wouldn't get in trouble. There was so much yummy smelling food that I
would have wanted - but of course, nothing from anyone! Chris becomes a
watchdog herself when it comes to Hapoo food.
We also saw the little girl that loves to stay with us and pet me and
talk with Chris, I think we both like her a lot. And then Shadow
arrived, that was so much funfunfun! However, Shadow did not like the
party, so we three went upstairs pretty soon. We slept in a tiny office.
First I stayed outside attached to the handrail on the platform between
the four rooms. But then the other man came with his two kids, and they
are so afraid of me, so Chris took me inside the room, made me walk over
her bed and slid me under the desk. There I had a nice, dark and shady
sleeping spot.

The next day started slow, Shadow and Chris took me for a short morning
walk and then left me with the two sisters and mom to go shopping. I
don't know what they bought, I never saw it, but I do think they stayed
away for too long. The highlight of that afternoon was the long long
walk with Chris and me, mom, sister Suse and her tiny dog, the dog that
was our guest in winter. I ran off leash through the meadows, and then
the sister found a pond into which she threw a stick for the tiny dog to
catch. He is a master swimmer, he can swim really fast. I only jumped in
and tried to get back as fast as I could, but Chris says I sound more
like an elephant when I swim. When the tiny dog swims you don't hear a
thing. The walk was really long, and when we were back the sister
showered us both off with the garden hose.
We had another party that day with different people, but Chris and
Shadow and I went upstairs and Shadow started talking and talking. And
when he was finally done, interrupted by Chris' occasional comment, we
went downstairs, where we found sister Suse. She told us we shouldn't go
outside for the party. I forget the reason, but Chris was grateful to
her. After a little while of me running around and sniffing on the front
lawn, all the four of us, Shadow holding my leash and Chris walking with
sister Suse, we went outside again, had some cake and coffee and then
left the gathering for good. This time it was later than the previous
night.
And the rest of the deal will follow later, when Chris needs the
computer less than she does now. Cheers, Hapoo.

Chatty woofer

Hi all:
We are travelling a lot lately, Chris and I. First of all we took the
train on Friday of last week to see the friend again. I think since the
tennis time we haven't had a quiet weekend. First we saw the friend,
then the friend was with us, and then we saw the friend again, and a few
days from now we will go and see the sister and her family for a big
party, as Chris says. For me that will mean being on leash, because
otherwise I would sneak some delicious human food for myself. Chris says
we will finally get to see Shadow.
And dearest Shadow: If you are not nice to us, then I will lick your
hand till it doesn't bother you anymore <woofwoofwoof>
Chris says that staying with the friend was wonderful. For me it was
boring, for they stayed on the balcony and only took me out for the
Hapoo walks. And the friend is nobody who would like to pet me for three
hours, like the cousin. Chris also says that it was good to be away for
the weekend, for our city was mad like a zoo. There were so many
visitors here, and loads of nice police people. I like police people,
they never bother us and they are usually kind. But some of the visitors
apparently didn't behave nicely. We are lucky we live in a vilage, so
nothing happened around here - plus Chris and I weren't here anyway.
And at the sister's birthday I hope I will get to run with the outside
dog. He is a wonderful chap to play with, provided a tennis ball is
involved and he isn't so much of a backside sniffer. If he does that too
much it is pretty annoying and I have to set the limits. But running
around his yard with him is funfunfun.
Allright folks and woofers, I'm off, for Chris impatiently is waiting to
check the news on her - note her - PC, cheers, Hapoo.
