What a week!

Well, it was not as spectacular as te previous one, but nevertheless fun.
At work I met Daniel. I only took a glance at sister Suse from afar,
and she did not play with me at all. Apparently Chris had a lot to do,
too, so she did not play too much with me.
However, a couple of days ago Chris and I left work early, and outside
I spotted Suse and Micki and the niece Lena. Chris let me off leash,
and I ran back and forth between them.. We all got into the car and got
off at the furniture store. There the humans had lots of human food, and
then we walked through the store. Suddenly Micki and Lena took me over
to a few comfortable chairs, and Chris and Suse went off on their own.
They returned with two carts full of stuff, then payed and had the nerve
to explain that these packages were Micki's new balcony.
Hey ladies, I am a dog and not stupid. I know what a balcony looks like!
The stupid ladies then proceeded to clarify that the cubic packages were
wooden tials for the floor, In the long flat ones were chairs, and then
there were cushions. Okay, makes sense, but only when it's set up it
will be a re-shaped balcony!
Sister Suse took Chris and me home, and then she loaded the car up to
the roof to get the tiny dog, the niece, Mickii, herself and the 27
packages home. Nice loyal car!
And now it is weekend, prior to which Micki and we went shopping. I
even received a tiny bit of meat from a lady in the supermarket.
Shopping was fun and I was really tired afterwards. Today Chris is the
tired one,and so I will keep quiet and watch as she rubss her ill nose
more and more red as she cleans it.
Have a good weekend everywhere, Yours, Quito.

A wonderful weekend

Hello once again everyone:

I have had a magnificent time, I tell you!
Generally, Chris has woken up as spring arrived, and we have been
playing a lot, mostly with the sister.and the niece and with Chris, of
course. Once, when she was tossing a stick for me, II caught one of her
fingers, and it bled. I was going to lick it, but she said she'd rather
take care of it herself. She was not angry at me, fortunately.
The next day we went travelling. First Chris set up the bag and also put
my food inside, and then she had to be urgd out of th aparn. When is
fhI juswl hat it is ot lea eain sioI sowehelthen a lady oo us to the
traihe even tolthe train crew about us, and when it was time to get off
somebody looked after us. Somebodelse asisted Chris in getting a coffee
for herself, athen she and I had to wait before the next train was ready
for boaring. An when efinally got off that train, a man picked us up,
but I saw Mr Mylove approach, so I jumped up on him and greeted him
before Chris had the chance. And then the three of us went home. The
weather was fantastic, te The nex e went on the do rot, got on a us d
rode it foree ad thet a place I don' rebe having e Chris shis is r Mov's
k and we had n there lasoon wok a txi only for a sho whil, and then I
walked up the stairs, and while Chris was talking to the lady, two other
people arrived, and they took us wiith them. Chris gave the leash to the
man, and she herself walked with the lady.
In the room I first greeted the other two propperly, before Chris tole
me to lie down. I did and relaxed as they were talking. And when they
were dfone, we walked into another office, where a lady greeted Chris
and me. She says she remembers me from when I had arrived with Chris,
and she says I am much livelier now than back then. And then the first
lady returned with a huge bag. Chris met some others, and then we went
outside again, where Chris and I got into another taxi.and Mr Mylove
picked us up when we arrived. Soon we went for human lunch outside, and
then Mr Mylove took us to the office, where we met the big boss, and I
could jump on him. He went outside on the dog walk with us, a field
route, where I could run free. Then Chris had another appointment,
which I spent lyiing behind her and watching her, until a man, another
friend of hers, took us upstairs, where they had coffee.

Finally we took the bus home again, walked a little and then spent the
lovely evening at an outside restaurant. Back upstairs Mr Mylove fell
asleep almost immediately, but the next morning he was wide awake.

I woke him up when Chris announced that she was going to move, and I
gave him many many kisses, until he got out of bed. Then we went for a
morning stroll in the beautiful sun, Chris had royal breakfast, they
watched TV, and then we all went outside. First we took a bus, walked a
bit, entered a store, another one, took another bus, and then we were at
the fantastic fun park, where I can run and swim in the water. Chris did
not accompany me this time, but she and Mr Mylove collected sticks,
threw them in the water and I jumped inside, caught them and took them
back. Swimming is funfunfun! And then we walked more and more and more,
the humans relaxed on their favourite bench, which I found for them, and
then we walked back to the city. Chris says that we spent some six hours
walking through the starting summer.Back upstairs I got my food, and the
humans rewarded themselves with huge pizzas. Then they watched a bit of
TV and then called it a day. Oh I was soso tired!

The next day was yesterday. This morning Chris and Mr Mylove took quite
some time to get out of bed, and then he took me outside, while she was
getting ready and packed her bags some more. They watched TV while Chris
ate a little, then she picked up the huge bag and we left the home. We
walked to the train station, Chris bought something to eat, then we took
the train to the huge train station, where we sat and talked a bit. Well
of course they talked and I lay down and relaxed and watched the world.
All of a sudden the sister appeared right beside me - where did she come
from? I jumped up on her, kissed Mr Mylove and noticed that Chris was
talking with someone I did not know. Well never mind! Chris and Mr
Mylove kissed a lot, and then she climbed into the train and the sister
and I followed, of course. The other man stayed outside, too. We went
inside the train, but then walked back to the door, but ther was no more
Mr Mylove. We waited and waited, and finally we could access our seats.
Chris and the sister talked and talked, while I could take a nap.
Another train followed, and then at the home train station I saw our
Micki, the niece Lena and the tiny dog. The niece and I went running all
across the meadow for a little while, before we all got in the car, and
Chris and I were dropped off at home.
Oh what a weekend, I really loved it.
I hope you all had an equally wonderful and eventful time, Yours, Quito.

We are bouncers!!!

Hello woofs and folks:

I have to admit, Sunday was Chris' lazy day, but she got up and
distributed my food all around livingroom and corridor, so I had to
sniff and look and search for it. Yesterday we went to work, and I saw
sister Suse.
Chris says I have become a little quieter than usual around her, but
Suse also keeps me down. Then for the lunch break Chris discovered that
they were putting a fence around the Quito playground meadow, though she
had just brought a ball for me to run fetch. And in the afternoon, when
work was over and Suse joined us, the fence was all around the meadow,
so play was no more possible. Does nobody have a heart for dog? Why are
cars more important than dutiful dogs?
So Suse took us home by car, and we went playing on the meadow in front
of the house.
Chris never lets me off leash there, because she cannot see dogs coming.
But with the sister I could run off leash, and we played with the ball.
I first was not too keen on retrieving it, because I had to explore the
meadow. But eventually I came for it, Suse and I played tug and fetch,
and even Chris threw the ball once. But play with Suse is quicker and
more dynamic, so Chris steps back and enjoys.
And at night she brought a package upstairs, spent some time kneeling in
the corridor and fiddling around with some pieces of wood. She says they
make a dog toy.
One I was allowed to try, a huge food container with holes in it, which
needs to be rolled all around the livingroom. Chris says next time we
will play the harder level with more holes closed and only a few open,
so I can have more fun.
We have more toys in stock, and I will tell you all about them when I
have tried them. But why is the meadow going to be turned into a car
parking area, and where can I run free now?
And why is Mr Mylove not feeling so good?
I also hear Chris talking about going to the furniture with the friend
Martina, because she wants to buy new chairs and a table.
That also escapes me, because the old stuff still does the work. Chris
says the colour doesn't match the new kitchen, and so she'll sit around
and set up furniture eventually, I believe.
Allright, we're going to dash off to work, and I hope Chris can still
toss the ball for me,
cheers, Quito.

again ...

Oh boy, she is energetic!

Quite honestly, I think Chris' energy has returned to her body with the
sun. This morning we had visitors. The doorbell rang, and a man and a
lady came. Chris says it is the nephew and his mother, who own the Rudi dog.
While the nephew played with me, Chris and her sister - it is another
sister, walked through the apartment and looked at everything the sister
has not seen yet, especially the kitchen.
Then the nephew got me dressed up, and we went outside for a quick dog
walking and playing session. Playing with the nephew is funfunfun, too!
We took the car, nephew and I in the back, and then ended up at the
furniture store - again!

This time, however, the place was packed. We walked upstairs, passed the
restaurant without having food, and then downstairs. There the humans
looked at furniture, but they didn't like it much. So we went back
upstairs, the humans looked at more stuff, found somebody to assist, gut
papers, we ran downstairs, grabbed a shopping cart and loaded packages -
by far not as many as back when we bought the kitchen.
Humans payed, Chris bought some kind of warm whine she likes, humans
left with me, packed the car, and then we all left. Oh boy, it is
exhausting to walk through the aisles packed with people who don't know
that we are coming. People want to touch me, and Chris always spoils it
by telling them that it is always good to ask whether they can pet me or
not.
Now she is enjoying the sun, stocking up on energy and relaxing. So I
will do just that, cheers, Quito.

great days!

Hey all woofs and humans:

Chris has truely woken up from sleeping in the winter. She has started
teaching me to come back to her upon a whistling sign from her. I must
admit, I do better when I'm hungry.
This morning Chris has added a twist to the recall. She has put the
treat on the ground without me having to go for it, and only when she
tells me I am allowed to pick it up. At first she did so wiith me
looking at it, and later she put it down before calling me back - or
rather whistling me back. And then she only points at the direction.
She says training a god eater is much easier than training a visual dog
like me, but she wouldn't give me to anyone, even though the friend Ilka
and sister Suse have applied to adopt me.
Oh I really love the sister. A couple of days ago we left work all
together, and outside we had a great time playing. The sister is a
dynamic playing partner, and she plays tricks on me, too, and shows
Chris how to best play with me. I trashed the rope ring, sister
permitted complete distruction, but after a while Chris took the rope
away from me, so I wouldn't swallow the cotton threads. She insists she
has to be the fun spoiler at times, after all she's the boss.

Another day we went to the furniture store with Mr Daniel on wheels, and
soon enough we were joined by another friend from work. The humans had
food, laughed and then went shopping only a little.

And finally Chris has remembered another kong toy. It is larger, and
when filled with treats of various shapes, sizes and tastes, I can play
with it to make the treats fall out. That is a great lot of fun. She
says she has ordered similar toys for me. I hope they arrive today, so
we can play, but she says they may not, and then we will have to deal
with the kongs until we find the cube. She says she also has a treat
ball that Hapoo used to play with - where? Besides, the Kongs are also
Hapoo's former toys for when Hapoo was young. But Chris says she didn't
like the cube so much, so that is surely mine, if only Chris could
remember where she has put it!
And when we don't have treat toys, we play a gentle game of tug with the
huge rope, or I chase the tennis ball. That is great, I love it when
Chris feels awake!
Now, have a good sunny or chilly day everywoof, poke your lazy humans'
sides and get them to play,
cheers, Quito.
