We have become quieter

Hi again:

Okay, the busy has stopped, or shall I say paused?
Chris has been watching sports all the time, from morning till night.
And at one time, she says it was the opening ceremony, she sat in her
armchair, Daniel on Wheels on the phone, and he described to her what
she couldn't see. She says it's been great. The ceremony I have no idea
about, I think I don't even know what a ceremony is. I went to sleep and
waited for Chris to call me to go to the bedroom.
Apart from that she has finally found that there was a small injury n my
tail. It wasn't so pleasant, and I bit it, too, so she prevented me from
biting by using a stinky, bitter spray, of which she claims it is good
for me - hahaha!
However, it doesn't hurt so much anymore, I must admit, and Chris says
it really looks good now.
It's true, I shed like a monster, and if Chris wasn't so lazy, she would
vacuum the apartment at least three times each day.
She did vacuum more than usual, and then she relaxed. The weather has
gotten somewhat cooler, so she couldn't stay out on the balcony all day.
You really don't know whether to lose or keep your hair, it's strange
this time. Winter is easy, it's co,d it's cold. But Chris doesn't like
it, for she doesn't like the snow.
Allright, I could tell you more and more, but she says she has to shut
down the PC and get ready for work. Have a good day then, cheers, Quito.

More strange things and the hidden arrows

So, what did we do next?
Well yesterday everything was the same as usual, except that Chris is
receiving telephone notes in the middle of the night, and I need not
alert her to them. She wakes up at strange times, and then she replies
to them lying in bed.
We went to work, and there Chris caused great disregarding laughter from
one of her colleagues. She asked him something about the bigball stuff,
about the sporty canaries and another weird name I couldn't remember. He
had a good laugh and exclaimed:
"You have not a single bit of knowledge of football, o my goodness!"
She replied "No, that's what I have always told you, and that's why I am
asking you those questions to answer, not to bash!"
She finally got an answer, then asked Stephen, who gets money for
planting crazy ideas of leaving me behind into her head and making her
look forward to it, too, about where that game would take place, and
told the colleague. They continued having fun at the expense of Chris'
lack of bigball knowledge. I don't know anything either, I only know
that people run after balls and kick the hell out of them, or beat,
depending on the ball, and then finally one has won over one or more of
the other running folks. And when that happens, I know I am not supposed
to play balls - boooooring!
Then Chris and I went to the big office, where she mistreated her
keyboard and telephone, we went out for the afternoon walk, and Chris
thought it was so nice and warm that she could stay outside. Besides,
everybody noticed that she had turned brown in her face, and she says
that's allthanks to the sky grill. No thanks, I pass! Sun makes me pant,
and when it is too warm it is too warm.
In the afternoon we went outside for a walk, when suddenly I spotted a
car and wanted to go explore. The car stopped right by us, and out came
Martina, the one who we always go arrow chasing at the store. I was left
on leash and strictly held back from jumping up on Martina at any cost.
I could have the previous times we met, and she and I would always play!
Come on, Chris!
But Chris insisted powerfully, and explined that Martina is expecting a
tiny tiny human that is maturing inside her, so no rough attack from my
side will be tolerated!
She finally let me off leash, and I went exploring the ground.
We got into the hot car, but we didn't get off at the arrows, but at
another store, where they handed a piece of paper to a lady that Chris
calls a letter that saves her money. Then they picked up some fruits and
vegetables, whichh Chris eats a lot these days, before we finally drove
off to the arrows place.

Of course, we went to the restaurant and the humans had food and I
chilled a bit, before we left, went to chase arrows and I made it clear
to Chris that I wanted to play catch the leash. She finally gave in, and
we played a little, before I focused on the arrows and ran after them.
At one point they had gone, I don't know where, but I still knew where
to go, until we were finally back at the staircase. There I spotted
Daniel on wheels, but was not allowed to greet him. I saw him step into
the elevator, but Chris made me use the stairs instead, and once we had
gotten downstairs, he was gone.

So we were back among the three of us, Chris and Martina did a bit of
shopping, and this time Chris really didn't buy a ot. She said she had
to hold back the paper and plastic cash to fly to see the football
cnaries. Do that, Chris, as long as I get great holidays out of it,
sister Suse preferred!

We are doing many things these days, and it is so good Chris lets me use
the keys often!
Have a great time, enjoy or don't enjoy the sky grill, best, Quito.

sky grill

Hola á todos:

I seem to be encountering phenomenons in human life which I have seen
before but never paid attention to.
Today, for example, Chris was forced out of bed by the routines I have
just described in the previous release, and then we went for a slightly
longer walk than usual. Then Chris and I played fetch with the food bag,
before she started her breakfast and computer torturing routine.

Afterwards she hid in the bathroom, telephone with music on the laundry
machine, and enjoyed herself. After she had finally come out of it, she
did a few things and then took me for the afternoon walk. Then she all
of a sudden took the singing and the silent telephones and sat down on
the balcony. She called the friend Ilka, and then they spent over two
hours talking, talking, laughing, talking and laughing some more. Chris
sat comfortably, holding her face out for the sun to warm it nicely.
After that talk she felt very calm and relaxed, so she just stayed on
the balcony, listened to her singing phone and enjoyed being grilled.

About an hour after the phone call had ended, Chris received another
call from an invisible lady I have never met. Invisibilities again -
didn't I tell them to stop? What's the order of the world good for when
nobody obeys anyone anymore?
She, this ever-so-smart intelegencia named Chris, says the question is
who obeys to whome, and that she surely won't let me tell her who she
should or should not talk to. Good, but it is her fault that I have not
yet seen this invisibility. Take me to see her, and everything's fine!
Well, she says, one never knows.

Anyhow, they talked and talked, and in the meantime Chris had switched
from one chair to the other, because there was still sun where she was
sitting now.

When she finally collected the phones and came in, she said her skin was
a bit irritated, but that the sun session was great. Grill session I
call it. Who wants to sweat voluntarily, when there is water and shade
available to help cool off? I don't, for panting is not my favourite
thing on earth to do.

Chris then proceeded, after the evening walk, to trim the fur between my
paws. Not one of my favourite treatments either, but I had had my food
and was rather sleepy.
So get grilled, Chris, if you'll leave my paw fur to me, but I for one
don't understand the sense of it. Anybody with opinions?

If ever you manage to be grilled completely, tell me - I am a carniphore.

Best, Quito.

I get you anyway!

Get you anyway! Get you anyway!

It has worked out for the past two nights, and I think it is fantastic!

Picture this: Chris lying awake in her bed ignoring me. At first I show
her I am awake by walking around, licking my muzzle to show that I am
awake. Eventually she will show a hand ad the edge of the bed. We have
to sort out wiether I can wash it or she wants to give me pets. She
doesn't like the washing, she says she can do a better job. So I enjoy a
few pets before the hand hides under the blanket again. I am not jumping
up, I am too well-mannered, so I am!

Chris possesses a stubborn streak - incredible! She takes her new toy,
the other mobile phone, and messes around with the setup. She says in
the morning is the best time to do boring tasks like that. When she is
finished being bored, she puts the phone away and seriously believes she
can stay in bed some more. Have a good laugh! I mean she's awake!

So I start my series of calls for attention. First I walk around the bed
to see whether I can reach a hand or so to lick. That's usually not the
case, so I shake my head so that my ears hit the bedframe. Makes some
tremendous noise! I stand and stare, but no motion. I walk around the
bed to the other side and wag my tail so it plays thumping drums on the
bedframe. By now Chris certainly knows I am wide awake. Finally I sit
down, lick and chew the air and stare some more. Sometimes that brings
success. Chris sits up, gives me pets, laughs and calls me a little
nuissance.

I think that's great, for the moment she puts her feet out of bed she
gets up. I pick up a few more pets and go quietly, and with great
satisfaction, back to my place on the other side of the bed, where I lie
down and wait as patiently as ever. Chris gets dressed, walks through
the apartment to open the windows, and then back to the corridor.

When she stands with her ack to the door, she calls me, and I come and
we greet one another with a short playing session. And then I pick up my
leash, signal jacket and collar. Sometimes we will even play fetch with
the collar - I love chasing it - before it is put around my neck, leash
hooked on, signal jacket fastened - and then, and then - out we go!

I told you, it is such great pleasure to drive Chris out of her bed. It
would have a 30 kilo impact if I were allowed on it, for Chris finds my
tongue no propper wakeup call and squeezes herself away from it. Wonder
if I could make her fall out of bed that way!

I hope I have provided a cheerful start of the day to all readers, I'll
go lie down for my morning nap.
Good day, Quito.

My new clothes!

Hi there:

I have just received a new piece of clothing: a signal jacket. And oh I
love it!

Some time ago, when it was warmer, I had torn my usual signal jacket.
Well, it had been two years old already. So Chris had to find me another
one. That one was no fun at all - stiff and itchy and not at all
flexible. I scratched myself often, and I just didn't like it.
When we went to see Mr Mylove on that trip I could also call the
swimming marathon, he at least made the buckles a bit more flexible, and
I had to get used to that new thing, for Chris wouldn't listen.

I believe now that she couldn't, because just yesterday I saw sister
Suse at work. I wanted her to come and play wrestling or romping or
jumping, but she wouldn't join. Instead she brought Chris a box, and
from it she retrieved new signal jackets and a new white leather leash.
I love the signal jackets most of all, because they are of the old usual
flexible material, with the picture badges on the sides. This morning I
got to wear it, and I even got to run after and retrieve it, and then we
even took a tiny little path on our morning walk, a little loop we had
not walked before. It wasn't hard, and Chris couldn't have gotten lost,
also because I was there to insist on where to go.
I know where I'm going, though sometimes it is to greet sister Suse, or
maybe another dog, and then Chris usually catches my off thoughts and
isn't very amused.

Also, yesterday she held the telephone close to me. She insists it was
so somebody could see me.

So what, just a second: Can that telephone also make somebody invisible
spy on me? That is a serious violation of my private space ...
Well actually it isn't, unfortunately, because Chris pays for my private
space - too bad, really!

And she says somebody I haven't met yet was the one receiving the
picture. One of these days I will hide all those invisible monsters:
Radios with voices, TVs with pictures, telephones with voices and
pictures both ways, so nobody can be invisible to me any longer, but
they'll have to come by if they want to see me, and so I can decide
whether I like them or not.
After all, a dog's got to do what a dog's got to do!

Considdered crazy

Hi there all and every:

Sometimes a dog has got to wonder, and sometimes I've got to wonder: Is
Chris crazy, or are the folks around her?

I can't compare, because the only Chris who picks up my harness and lets
me guide her to work and back is the Chris I keep talking about all the
time. But apparently, some people have a good laugh when she tells them
the stories of great people and great events.

I believe she has made up her mind to be serious. At first she tried to
help Daniel on wheels fly to England and have football fun, but when
Daniel didn't want to go anymore, Chris must have had a talk with
herself and decided to go instead.

I am a little worried, I hear her say she won't take me along, but leave
me with Rudi the racer and her other sister. Okay, Rudi's fun, but I do
prefer Chris, I think, unless the sister is Suse.

Anyway, she told other people about the football decision, and most of
them laughed and shook their heads and said it sounded just like Chris
to do something like that. Chris insists it wasn't her fault, but it was
Stephen's.

Who on earth is Stephen, now? Those invisible people entering Chris'
repertoire of names really confuse me. Folks, either you show yourself
to me or you remain quiet! Shame, you won't obey a litte dog's wish
anyway, because Chris always has to say something different, and humans
tend to listen to humans more than dogs. The invisible Stephen is on the
phone with Chris a lot, and I think I know from my spying that he wants
her to go see the football, and he is helping her a great deal making
this plan come true.

And since he does so, he must be a partner in crime with Chris, and i
hope people shake their heads about his doing, too. Bad pick, I hear
Chris say, she explains that he even gets money for such nonsense. Oh
humans and their ways - sometimes I'm happy I needn't think like the
humans and need not necessarily understand every single track of their
wandering thoughts.

So, they seem to get on well, and after she found out that she wants to
do this crazy thing, she has asked her friend, the great Ilka, to join
her. So now it's getting weird:
Ilka will come from Spain and Chris from over here, they'll meet at some
airport, and then they'll go and watch a football game between the birds
called canaries and the united Man or something like that.

First: Can canaries play large balls?
Second: How can one man unite with himself to play with a football
against many canaries (how many, btw)?
Third: Has Chris become a traitor and abandoned the small balls?

Don't now to the first two, I'd rather go out and sniff the grass than
think about the impossibility of that constellation.
No to the third, she's spotted more flying smallballs on TV, with
Micki's favourite Tommy in action.
Will that ball craze never stop?
I fear not, now that Chris has gained one more supporter of her crazy
actions.
I just haven't found out when the bird ball experiment is going to take
place, maybe I could sneak in a holiday with sister Suse instead of Rudi
and his gang!
Mr Mylove is on my side, he doesn't want to accompany her over to the
big island, he says the weather will be dreadful and he only wants to
watch his own football - what own that is I wonder, I've never seen a
football in his one room apartment - I would have found it!

And now to all of you invisible people: Come out of the phones and
picture and voice boxes and show yourselves to me, so I can assess
whether I like you or not ... as if Chris cared for my opinion - right!
And Chris, btw, insists that Stephen the invisible is doing a great job
for his money.
Cheers for now and keep wondering with me about the crazy behaviour of
this lady,
Quito the exhausted (from wondering ad thinking and trying to make sense
of it all)

Telephone day

It's sure, that day deserved no other name but this!
Chris' telephones were all noise and news and sound! It all started in
the middle of the night, when apparently Mr Mylove sent a message,
followed by others. Chris replied to them and stayed awake for a long
while, before she went to sleep.

In the morning, when our day started, the telephones keptbeeping. Chris
typed on one and talked on the other, worked on her PC, and apart from
that the day was normal.
In the afternoon Chris took me outside, released me from the flexible
leash, and I dashed off to greet sister Suse and Micki. Suse brought a
delicious treat, and we played with it until I ate it, and then we
played hide and seak along the trash container walls. Playing with Suse
is loads and loads of fun! I can jump up in the air, try to bite her
ear, we wrestle, chase each other or tug on a stick, or I lick her leg,
she tells me off, so I lick the other one instead. Suse is loads of fun,
while Chris means responsibility, calm and work.
Suse left, Chris took me back on the leash, and Micki and she carried a
few objects up into the apartment. Micki presented Chris with flowers,
letuce, fresh currents, balcony plants, two cakes.
So the ladies sat outside on the balcony and had coffee and cake. The
phone kept ringing, and Chris talked to somebody about visiting a island
called England or so, without me. Without me - allright, if I can stay
with Suse! If not, I'll hold grudges!
Chris loaded Micki's tiny book with books - what nonsense, but she says
it's true. The book she has is a plastic item which holds many books to
read. Both Micki and Chris love theirs.

Then we walked over to the eating place, where we met Daniel. I spotted
him in his car, and then Micki came back from buying herself some
cigarettes, so I jumped back and forth between them until we went
inside, the humans ordered food and we occupied a table. Of course, the
humans talk, Quito lies down and sleeps - goodnight!

We took the long walk home without Daniel, the ladies took care of one
of Chris' plants, and then Suse came back from work to pick Micki up. I
did not see her this time, I stayed upstairs.
Chris says this is what she calls her birthday, and she had a really
wonderful day.
From yesterday on the phone has gone back to the regular quiet, and I
can see if she wants to play with me.
Have a good day wherever you are, Quito.

Long time again

Hi there! Do you still remember me? Well, blame Chris, as always, she
can't fire back!
I have a few things to tell you, see how far I get.
The excitement started when the sister came one evening, sat and chatted
with Chris, and then took me to go away with her. I don't mind, she's
fun. We went home, where I saw Micki and greeted her enthusiastically.
Then we drove to see Elisa the tall, great playmate of mine. We went to
the field, I found the muddy hole and we went splashing about there,
before Suse collected us and took me home.
At night all doors were open, so I ventured out to see what I could do,
found a bit of butter onMicki's kitchen table and ate it in her
livingroom. I don't think it was so bad, because nobody called me off
the task.

The next morning the niece took me for a long walk, and in the
afternoon, when Suse returned from work, we took our belongings and
moved in with lonely Elisa. From then on we had a blast, I tell you!
There was another man there. I once told him to watchout, when he
intruded into Suse's territory. I wasn't supposed to bark at him,
because he is a neighbour. Well how would I know?
Then I found another piece of butter on the kitchen table, but when I
had almost finished it, the other man came and blurted me away so
fearfully, that I dashed out like an arrow from the bow and went hiding.

Chris, in the meantime, had a weekend without me. She read a lot, slept
a lot and couldn't deny missing me and my noises. But she says sleeping
as long as she wanted and staying in bed for two hours after waking up
wasn't bad for a change, either.
The following morning Suse took me back to see Chris, and after she had
taken me into the apartment for a short while, she and I walked to work,
and everything remained the same.

Last weekend Micki came to stay with hus. The ladies had a quiet,
relaxing time, mostly on the balcony, where I could join them, and I
enjoyed the dog walks with Micki most of all. I really love it when
somebody joins us on the walk, so I can sniff and run as much as I want
without having to worry and always keeping an eye on Chris.
So that's my latest ramblings, you see we always come up with new
adventures.
Besides, it was Mr Mylove's birthday two days ago. I know I am supposed
to wish him well and so on, but I think I'll turn things around and ask
him a favour.
Would you, please, make sure that you and I can go playing more often,
Mr Mylove? Yesterday I wanted to jump up on the bed, and Chris wouldn't
ask me up. Had you been there, I would've been up, I know, and given you
tons of kisses!
All the best, Quito.
