The climax day

So then came the Sun day, as they call it. Chris woke up really early,
stayed in bed for a while and used her telephone as computer. she says
that is the most quiet alternative, so she didn't wake up Mylove, who
was sleeping beside her. But then she got up and quietly went into the
kitchen, where she prepared coffee. Then she returned with two mugs of
it, and very very calmly she walked into the ladies' bedroom, but
returned with the two coffee mugs with a grin on her face. She says they
had told her about how early they would wake up, and so she had decided
to wake them up and surprise them with coffee. But now, as she was in
the ladies' bedroom, they all were sleeping tight and well, and one of
them was even snoring. So no coffee surprise. Instead, Chris drank a cup
herself and lay down in bed until Mylove woke up, kissed her and held
her close, until it was time to get up.

Mylove never takes showers as long as Chris, so when he was ready, he
poured coffee for the ladies and joined them on the balcony. it took
another while until everybody was ready to leave the house. It was
raining very lighty, but they all decided to walk. The university friend
had a suitcase, a little one on wheels, and the friend was carrying a
backpack. We all walked along the streetcar tracks the opposite way.
Mylove and Chris took turns holding my flexible leash, and once the
route was propperly paved again, Chris pulled the friend's suitcase, and
they talke all the time. Then for some reason, we arrived at the city
train station, where we took the train for a couple of stops. And after
we had gotten off, Chris' friend greeted us. She was the one who had
helped set up the bed, and who takes us for human dinners every now and
then. I like her, she is fun. We all walked to a restaurant where nobdy
was there yet, and first thing the ladies did was disappear and go to
the bathrooms, while I stayed with Mylove. And just after they were
back, a man I don't know arrived, and just then Daniel showed up with
his two additional legs instead of the wheelchair. During all of this
Chris received a huge bag from the friend, with coffee in it. She is a
coffee girl for sure, and she really liked it. More and more people
showed up, sister Suse, the cousin, the other sister and her husband,
and much later another sister with her daughter, another friend with his
wife, and finally also Micki. The humans all had breakfast and talked
and talked, and from many of them Chris received presents. The coffee
was in a huge original coffee sac, so all other presents were put inside
as well, and Mylove took on the task of keeping everything tiidy. In
between I was taken outside both by sister Suse and Mylove occasionally,
and every now and then Chris accompanied us and we stayed outside.

At one point Chris got really tired. The three ladies had left, and also
the friend, so she and Mylove decided to leave as well. Chris had a long
conversation with a restaurant lady, who did a lot of number juggling,
and then Chris gave her some paper money. She said goodbye to the
remaining folks, and the man and his wife took Mylove, Chris and me and
the presents and flowers to our home. By now the sun was shining, but
neither Chris nore mylove felt like going to the beach - what a pity!

Instead Chris unfolded the magical couch, threw on the blankets and took
a nap. Then she woke up, but both she and Mylove relaxed and watched TV,
and only slowly they got up and cleaned the apartment and took me for
the evening walk. Mylove packed his bag, and then he sat down to watch
TV and talk with Chris, who fell asleep after a while. She must have
been tired after these two really busy days. But she says they were
wonderful, and she had enjoyed seeing all the friends. Most of all, of
course, she had enjoyed seeing Mylove nd spending time together with
him. I like him, too. He is fun and plays, and I even got to lie on the
bed with him in the morning, while Chris was in the shower.

The next morning Chris took me for a walk, the two humans had breakfast,
and then she took him to the streetcar stop. She was crying on and off.
She says humans do shed tears when they are either extremely hapy, or
when they feel really sad. I understand that it is hard to leave a
member of the pack behind, so I took great care of Chris on the way to
work. I cleared her of a car which had been parked in the middle of the
pedestrian walk, and genereally I was a good girl.

I think Chris and Mylove and I, Micki and the sister and the other
sister's dog and all good friends and cool dogs should always stay
together, so everybody can be happy and play and never needs to cry.
Chris can kiss Mylove, nd Daniel can get his eyeglasses cleaned, and I
can sleep on the bed occasionally and play with dogs and stay with Chris
and watch that the pack stays together. That would be a marvelous plan!
Good night, I have a dream to dream, Quito.

The active weekend

Hi again everybody:

It really seems Chris has decided to let me play the keyboards more
often, so I can update you faster on what has happened.

I told you, Chris' birthday was over, but she continued being active.
She started cleaning up, re-arranging things in her bedroom, and even at
one point removed my bed from the bedroom. After that had happened, she
disappeared in the kitchen, prepared something sweet and hid it in the
refridgerator.. Then she unfolded the magical couch, so it turned into
the bed where she could sleep. I have only seen her do that in winter,
when she was eager to see the balls fly day and night. However, that
nght there were no flying balls, but the beds in the bedroom had been
made up, even with towels on the blankets, and the next morning she
cleaned it thorroughly, just like she did the rest of the apartment.
Then an additional bed was put up in the bedroom. It came out of
nowhere, and it has something to do with a hissing snake. She attached
the hissing snake to something, she made the snake hiss, and slowly but
steadily the something grew bigger and bigger, until Chris detatched the
snake, sealed the bed and lay down on it, thinking that this was good.
Then I saw the strange snake. It was a plastic cylinder with a plastic
snake connected to it. Chris says she used it to pump air into the bed,
so it would inflate into the bed that I saw then. Then she decorated the
bed with a sleeping bag and a towel, and then that door was closed. The
rest of the day she spent either in the kitchen, or on the balcony or in
the livingroom having coffee and talking on the phone with people.

Then at one point she harnessed me up and we walked to the streetcar
stop, where we sat and waited forever. Then a streetcar came and left,
and I wasn't allowed to board it. Another one arrived, and then Chris
and I got up and she still made me wait, until I saw - o yes, I saw Mylove!

It took a while until I discovered him, but then I jumped up on him and
offered him to play, which Chris permitted, before he took her in his
armsand so they stood for a while. I could tell they were both very happy.

We walked home, Mylove put his bags into the office, because that was
the only space to put them, and then they went and sat down on the
balcony for a little while. After that Mylove gave Chris a few things of
no interest to me, and then they again disappeared in the kitchen, where
Mylove helped Chris set up and bring out delicious smelling food. I need
to mention that none of htis ever reached my mouth - so unfair!

And then Chris put the leash on me, and we all left the apartment again,
to go to the streetcar again. There we met the friend who doesn't warm
up with me, and her mom, and still we stayed at the streetcar stop.
Another while later there was another lady who greeted Chris, and then
Mylove and the other ladies, and me, of course, and then we all walked
back home.

There the ladies invaded the bedroom, and then they brought out more
items for Chris, again no food for me! I was banned to my place and I
was to stay there. Then they all moved to the balcony, where the smokers
smoked, and then they looked and chose the food in the kitchen. Mylove
helped pour the drinks and selected the wine with Chris' unknown friend,
and she says the night was really wonderful, and it was good to have the
guests over.

When they had calmed down and didn't move much on the balcony, I joined
them and lay down between Mylove and the other friend, who both petted
me with their food. i really like that attention.

Finally the ladies disappeared in the bedroom, Chris unfolded the
magical bed in the livingroom, and she and Mylove went to sleep there.

i think I will have to talk about the rest in yet another email - I told
you that weekend was highly interesting!

Have a good day wherever you have it, Quito.

Loads of events!

Hello again everybody:

It's been a long time since I last wrote, but I tell you, we were quite
busy. The last week started with a shopping trip, which of course, Micki
accompanied us on. The ladies had a good time, apparently, but I, too,
got a tiny treat from where it smells deliciously like fresh meat. The
man on the right side of the meat handed Chris a tiny bit of meat after
she and Micki had done their shopping, and after a bit of hesitating
Chris gave it to me - and I tell you, I could easily have had more of it!
We walked through the supermarket forever, and at the end of it I was
surely exhausted. Fortunately we found a lady who helped us find what we
wanted - no stuff for me this time, but a lot of things Chris doesn't
buy too often. And when we were upstairs, I received my food, and then
we pretty soon went to sleep.

The next day Chris spent both on the computer and cleaning the house and
preparing something. We went for the dog route, and all the time the
phone rang, and she received quite many emails. Chris says it was her
birthday, and so many people were thinking of her.At one point not only
the phone, but also the doorbell rang, and I saw a lady I cannot
remember well. Chris helped me remember that I had seen her twice
before, but the last time was some nine months ago.

The ladies first went out on the balcony, where they had coffee and
cake, and the visitor liked it a lot. Then they went inside, where they
talked and talked, and also laughed, of course. Chris says that was
working with her boss, who usually talks with her on the phone. Okay, so
she has a man and a lady boss - got it!

And then we all went for the dog walk. I was launching a jump attack on
the lady boss, but Chris knew and kept me away - tough luck Quito, this
Chris is darned clever - quite unfortunately, sometimes.
The car we got into was great and extremely spacious. Chris discovered
buttons where she could adjust her seat to the most comfortable
position, and the boss had fun watching her. We went into a restaurant,
where I got water, and Chris and the lady both had very delicious food.
And before Chris closed her eyes that night, she had Mr Mylove's voice
on her pillow and smiled.

The next day we were upstairs in the tower room at work, where they had
prepared breakfast and told Chris about a happy birthday again. It
really looks like they are celebrating that day when they can, and they
make it a good one for the ones who celebrate.

The celebrations went on, but I will tell you about that in another
mail. I really have to go take my morning nap, cheers, Quito.

A strange dog

Hello all woofs and folks:

Yesterday after some keyboard work, Chris took her backpack and we
walked downstairs. First we went for the dog route, and then we waited
until Daniel arrived in his car. We went to the furniture store, where
some folks were already waiting. When the group was complete, we all
went inside, but not to the furniture. Instead we all walked up the
stairs, Chris was given a plastic card, which she put beside my clicker
bag on the edge of the pocket of her jeans. Then we walked on and got
settled in a small office, where the usual human sitting and talking
started.

For lunch one of the ladies walked outside with Chris and me, and we
enjoyed the sun. I discovered a wet meadow, where I tossed in the wet
grass. Water is just fantastic! Chris states I started as a dog and came
back as a pig - I beg to differ!

We walked back upstairs and I got to rest some more. When they finally
packed their bags, I spotted a dog behind thhe door, which Petra gave to
Chris to oook at.

First Petra took the dog and put it on the table. Then Chris put it in
her hand and I sniffed it. It didn't smell like a dog, but it looked
like one for sure. It also moved towards me and made a little play
sound, so I thought I had finally found a play-mate.
I pawed at the dog, which was still in Chris' hand, and it even turned
and looked at me, and it mooved away from my paws. I didn't get it, so I
fonally barked at it so it would play with me!
It did not, for some odd reason, but Chris placed it back on the table.
Then the door opened and the friend came in one of the friends that is.
Chris says she is moving out of town, so we won't see each other too
often anymore. I kissed her and was quite bouncy, and then the ladies
took me to the cafeteria, where they had coffee and I got to look at
another lady who joined us a little later.

They did not sit there for too long, but we walked downstairs, outside,
back inside through the revolving door, and there I spotted Daniel on
wheels. The friend said goodbye, and Daniel took us home.

In the evening Chris got two visitors. One I remember vaguely from
before, and the other I don't remember. They had brought food for the
humans, and they all sat outside on the balcony. Finally they got up,
and the man moved the parts of the old bed away, which had been standing
in the corridor until then. They put them away into the basement, where
I cannot see them. And then they left.

Chris says it was Mylove's birthday, and she kept sending him little
notes to remind him.

I won't understand why a dog doesn't smell like a dog but looks like
one. Chris says t is easy. It is a ceramic dog used to prevent doors
from constantly banging against a door. I think I'd rather go and remind
her that I still haven't gotten my food, cheers, Quito.

Test

Just a test

I am a diver

Hey there:

chris wants to make up for my long weblog absence it seems - good girl!
But I must say that many things are happening these days.

Yesterday we left for work extremely early. We walked along quiet roads,
only with many cars already awake. When we arrived, Chris made me walk
on instead of turning towards the gate. We walked to the deserted car
parking place, where - believe it - she took off the leash and let me
run free.

Oohoo, did she know how much fun that was? I remembered the puddles and
raced through one with a huge splash. I did it again,l found another one
and raced through both one after the other, full speed! Yippee, the
water! I also went further down the road but always returned when Chris
called. I think that deserved my my continuing freedom. She gave me
treats when I came, and released me again - what fun! And then the full
speed water splash continued! A semi-circle to the beginning - splash -
one puddle! Splash - the next one! And when I say puddle, I mean real
water holes! If Chris had stepped into one of them, she might have
preferred walking around work without shoes and socks, and possibly
pants. She is objecting strongly here, because she says she surely needs
her pants here, and it is good she did not step into one.

After the morning splash she put me back in harness and we walked
through the gate and towards the entrance. She turned to smile at an
arriving car, it later turned out to have been Daniel's, for when we
were upstairs at the lockers he arrived, and Chris let me play with him.

Other people arrived, who weren't too fond of a jumping and growling
monster dog. I don't understand that! It's not like I've ever bitten a
human! I might have jumped up at one, but not bitten or hurt or so! A
dog needs to play, folks! We then walked to the cafeteria, where Chris
found a place in the far back corner. Finally a colleague helped her
support the others in preparing bread rolls, which she liked a lot.
Chris says she liked this kind of work and it is a pity some others
don't think she can do the job.

When everything was done, she took me to the desk again, where she
checked her emails, and then we returned to the cafeteria. Folks were
gathering there, and Chris made me stay and lie down beside her. I think
it strange to clap my paws, but humans seem to like it a lot. At one
point Chris had to stand up and do something, but she insisted I stay
down. Even when she had to walk a few steps to speak, I was not allowed
to accompany her, but had to stay where I was. I only stood up wieh she
returned and my favourite Petra helped her find her chair. Wasn't that
supposed to be my job?

Afterwards we returned to the desk with two people, to whome Chris
explained how she works with the computer. And right after they had
left, she took me and we went to the little office in the southern wing,
or in the quiet wing of the office. Everyone else was there, and they
continued talking, while I was to lie under her chair, beside the man
who isn't too fond of my presence. He always complains about me. Chris
offered to leave me at home if he took her to work every morning, and
back home, too. She says she only did that because she knew he would not
accept that offer.

After another little bit of working at the office, we went to the
cafeteria, where she picked up food, and then back outside to the puddle
park, where i gave the first puddle a closer look.

I dove down with my muzzle and retrieved something I threw on the floor,
only for Chris to step on it. She says it was trash. However, I was not
finished cleaning up, I retrieved something interesting. It was like a
huge rubber rope that would never end. Chris says it is a water rope,
one where they can make water run through for long distances. I was
going to play with it, but Chris put it on the ground and also stepped
on it. When I was funished running, splashing and playing, she harnessed
me up and we walked back home. It is getting warmer, and Chris is
enjoying it. She says my recall has significantly improved, and 1.5
months permanently on leash with occasional training sessions have done
the trick. I think I should always be off leash, because playing and
sniffing out dogs and the environment is much easier that way.
Cheers, Quito.

walking with wheels

Hey all:

Oohoo, she's letting me play keyboards again!!!

Well, yesterday something unusual but extremely fun happened! At work
Chris and I walked around a lot, and she says she had a lot to do. We
finally settled on the couch we go to when the usual desk is blocked.
Chris unpacked the tiny PC and started working. At one point Daniel on
wheels arrived, took my leash and made me follow him. We went outside,
and he let me play in the back parking lot. O I haven't done that for
such a long time. I ran through the huge puddles and jumped to catch my
leash, and it was great fun. We then went back to the entrance door,
where soon Chris came out all on her own. Wow, I thought she'd be lost
without me! She was carrying a small cane in her hand. I never greet her
with as much spunk and energy as I do Daniel or Petra or Micki or the
sister Suse. Chris doesn't allow that. I nudge her hand, she pets my
head, picks up the leash and off we go. We got into Daniel's car. I love
it the most when I get in and Daniel waits for a Quito kiss on the other
side. We drove to the city, which was packed! We went into a store and
stood in line for a long time, and then Daniel received some papers in
exchange for papers the humans call money. That exchange of papers won't
stop to fascinate me - I just don't get it.

We continued, and I tried to chase a pigeon, stopped by Chris, of
course. We then stood by the side of the street and talked with someone
who was selling delicious food, but Chris and I got none. She even
refused some when offered. But then we went into a sandwich place where
Chris had food and I lay beside Daniel.

My favourite part of the job is showing Chris out of shops and
buildings. I simply love finding exits, and i never fail! She says I am
a great backtracker and is amazed of my ability to mindmap routs and
backtrack them 100% correctly - if I am not distracted, that is. I can
also look at other dogs while guiding Chris, something Hapoo wasn't good
at. I am smart after all, and I enjoy excelling, I am really having fun
at that.

On the way home in Daniel's car they listened to some music Chris was
really fascinated by, and then we went into the apartment. There Chris
did nothing, but she talked with Mylove for a long time, she talked so
that I could hear his voice, too, beside her in the bed. He just wasn't
there. If he was, he would have played with me, and we would certainly
have gone to the beach.

Now we have to go to work, I just don't know why so early this time!
Cheers and good day, Quito the clever one.

I felt sooooo bad!

Hello everyone:

Last week, I think it was Monday, I felt so bad. It all started with the
lunch dog walk, when I preferred playing to doing my business.
Afterwards we went home, Chris talked to her boss and then spent a long
time just listening to the voices on her telephone. She calls that a web
conference.
I really had to go busy, so I went into the bedroom and found relief
there. Chris eventually smelled what had happened, walked slowly through
the apartment and found the mess in front of the wardrobe. She says it
is good I didn't mess up the carpet. She cleaned up everything while
listening to the telephone still.

When all was done she talked with somebody, took me outside and I didn't
need to go busy. When we were back, Daniel came, something I enjoy all
the time. Then the doorbell rang again, and somebody brought food for
the humans. I received nothing. Well I had to have another accident,
Chris discovered it again, and cleaned up after me again. She says I
must have picked up something that didn't agree with my stomach. Daniel
checked and helped Chris find everything, while I lay in the corridor
and watched. And when Chris called me I very reluctantly walked towards
her, knowing what I had done wasn't what I was taught. But Chris did not
repremand me, she simply sent me to my place.

The obvious consequence I had to suffer was that I received no food for
the next day, just dry treats, one or two each hour. The day after that
the portion of kibble was still smaller than usual, but Chris said i had
fully recovered by then.

The big boss was at the office, and I like jumping up on him so much! He
always has a treat or two for me, and he always laughs when I jump. The
following day after we had gotten home, Chris put the matress up on the
wall. She had been sleeping on the matresses on the floor for the past
few nights, now the bedroom was a wide open place. A lady arrived, and I
assume they brought up hidden boxes from the basement and put them up in
the bedroom. Then they opened them one by one, played around with screws
and other little parts and wooden boards, until one box on legs was
built and put up against the wall.

Chris left the bedroom to talk with friend Ilka and with Mylove while
preparing food. She had prepared fish in the morning and now she started
to cook rice and sliced vegetables for a tomato salade. I got my own
food, a full portion this time, and the humans had the food with a glass
of wine, of which Chris says it was really good.

Then they disappeared in the bedroom again, where by now a frame was
visible, also shaped of those long wooden boards. Chris also walked
downstairs a couple of times, to get rid of cartboard boxes and other
trash. She then started to build tiny wooden fences. After the friend
had completed the frame and inserted some boxes at the bottom, she
helped Chris with the fences. These were finally joined together and
lifted onto the frame, where they sunk in a little. Then the matress was
put on top, and now I got it that this was to be Chris' new bed with a
headboard. She calls those horizontal fences springboards, and I think
I'll never see them again, because they are hidden under the matress.

It was very late at night when the matress was put on top of it all,
Chris gave the friend a plant to take home and took her downstairs and
said goodbye to her. She says the bed is very comfortable and it is good
that it has storage places underneath the horizontal fences. It is
higher than the previous bed, so jumping up on it may proove to be
challenging. So far I haven't been asked up yet. My dog place has also
changed, Chris has moved it from the window to the door side of the
room, while she is sleeping on the window side. I have to get used to
that, I like to sleep near her! But she says that side is too narrow,
and my dog mat won't really fit there. Allright, door side it is then.
Cheers, she wants to turn off the PC, Quito.
