surprise surprise!

Hi again:

Last Saturday or so, Chris and I got ready to go out at night. We walked towards the city train, where I showed Chris the traffic light. However, she did not want to cross, but praised me anyway. instead of passing, we walked straight until we met Daniel. From then on I knew where to go, I walked to the first entrance I found, but Chris made me take the next one. We went upstairs by elevator, and inside Daniel's apartment I met his parent's little dog Basti. He first made me aware that he was at home here, and then we played a little. He is a real gentleman as far as playing goes. But one thing wasn't fair - the humans allowed him up on te sofa where Chris sat. She made me jump up there, too, but I think the floor is more comfortable, for you have space to stretch out there.
The humans watched sports and talked, and from time to time we dogs played a little. I found Basti's toy bone and wanted to chew it, but Chris told me off, for it wasn't my chewing bone, but a rubber bone that wasn't made for chewing. I did stop, just protected it with my paw until Daniel got permission to give me a peanut treat. That was surely delicious. Basti got one, too, from Chris, and so I sat and looked at Daniel for more, and Basti wanted more from Chris. when we saw that there was no way we could be successful, we both lay down and slept until chris finally decided that it was time to go home. Daniel accompanied us with Basti, and right outside the door of our home we met a neighbour with her friend. She lives oposite our apartment. And when her door opened, Chris let me walk in and take a look.

Inside that apartment I fround another dog, but as soon as Chris opend our apartment, I was by her side, ready to go inside and sleep. I thought that meeting Basti was cool, I really like him, because he is so unexcited and relaxed.
cheers, Hapoo.

A really strange walk

Hi all:

i completely forgot to tell you about this event:

one calm Saturday at work, when things went quite relaxed at work, Chris and Daniel were talking. He gives wonderful pets and sometimes even holds my leash. He had done so again when it was time for him to go to the cafeteria. I was not happy with him leaving, so I begged him to come back. Instead of coming back he called me to see him, and Chris encouraged me. I did run to him, then back to Chris, then I ran back to Daniel, who managed to coax me to follow him right into the cafeteria. There I saw Petra, and then - what a scare - I realized that Chris hadn't followed us. I attempted to jump forward and run back to her, but Daniel had a firm grip on the leash, and Petra had a good laugh at my run on the very spot.
Daniel had the nerves to let me sit, and only then he motioned forward to let me go back to Chris. Well I didn't go, I flew to Chris, and he flew back with me. Chris says Daniel can develop quite some speed in his wheelchair, it is amazing. O how happy I was when I found Chris working at her desk and not having left to somewhere unknown! I just think I shouldn't trust anybody, they might give Chris the chance to escape and leave me, which is to be prevented by all means.
Cheers, Hapoo.

P.s.: Chris is sad, because her tennis Nico hasn't survived the first round, and tennis Rafa hasn't won a turnament... what can I do to stop this tennis thing?

A night out

Hi everybody:

You know how it is, when Chris and her friend Silke meet, they spontaneously decide to go out and meet that same night. That very thing happened one of the last week
s afternoons, and at night the friend picked us up. We first went to her place, where I heard another dog barking inside, but the dog wasn't let out. I just was transferred to Silke's car, for she had driven another one home. Then we rode for a while, until we got off at a place I don't recall having been to. The walk, however, was nice, and it ended on the beach. Of course, I didn't go into the water, and I wasn't let off the leash at first. But when I was, it was fantastic, and we all walked or jumped along the shore.
Chris put me back on my leash, and then I spotted a tiny tiny dog. When Chris found out that he was nice, she let me play with him. His owner didn't mind, and so Silke took a bath in that moving salt water, while Chris sat on a stone and enuoyed the night, every now and then receiving a visit from one of us dogs. when Silke came back, I was put back on leash, and we walked on, the tiny dog following us, until his owner came and picked him up. I wanted to sniff some more, but Silke said we had to hurry, so we could leave the forrest before it got completely dark.

O that walk outside was funfunfun, and Chris later remembered that she and I had been at that part of the shore about a year and a bit more before, with Ilka the great friend, who has said in a phone call before that she misses my charming demand for her pets.

The ladies and I then got into the car, and we rode for yet another while. They tried to decide where to go eat, and finally we ended up at the place we have been to quite often in the city center. There they had delicious food, and they talked forever. I was really happy when I was served a fairly nice bowl of water, which I think I finished till the last drop. It was really late when we came home, but I didn't care, for the night had been really nice.
Cheers for this moment, another story will follow soon, cheers, Hapoo.

The travel

Hi every woofer and every human:

I know it is late, but what can you do when the only human who provides access to the computer denies the same?

I had told you something was in the air, and my instinct served me right once agaon. I remember that one day the sister came to pick us up, and we went to the dentist's. We only stayed a short while, and then we left again. The sister took us to mom's home. Chris took me for a wonderful offleash work along the field route, but she said she herself couldn't walk too far, because the grass was really high. I had a great time, that is for sure. Then the humans talked and talked, until mom and Chris and I got into the car, and we went shopping. Into a store I hate first, one where Chris tries various artificial smells, of which I find some on her later - oof - not made for dog noses! Then into the grocery store, where we bought a lot. The grocery was put into the car, and then we went into that store where Chris hides behind a curtain and comes out from time to time with clothes on that I haven't seen her wearing before. And then some of them later appear at home.

Finally we went home, and Chris made sure I got food and mom felt great. We all had a quiet night, and the next morning the rooster from the alarm clock woke us up really early.

Chris first woke mum up, and then the humans had breakfast. O I was really tired! They ran through the apartment and turned off all the electricity, grabbed jackets and the backpack and me, and then we went outside, where Chris let me run off leash a little - that is a really rare occasion here in the city. But it was so early and so quiet, that she didn't think another dog would show up.
Mom drove us to the train station. First thing I saw was another dog, but I was not allowed to play with it, of course. Instead we hurried to a platform and into a train, where mom said goodbye, and the long journey started. We had to change trains once, and then the really long train ride begun. Another taxi ride followed, and then we were finally at a house I have never been to before. The kind taxi driver took us to a window inside the room, where Chris asked for a person and then for a plastic card. Then we stood beside the window and talked to the lady behind it. Finally the other lady came and said hi to both of us, and Chris also asked the lady behind the window if she wanted to pet me. She did, and then Chris gave her my harness and the backpack, and then she asked the other lady if we could go for a Hapoo walk. Of course she took us, and o what relief. It had become much warmer since the morning, but along the route there was a tiny creek, and I drank water from it, but had to make sure I didn't fall inside. chris let me walk off leash, that was heaven. The lady  stayed with us for the entire time, and I think I like her, at least Chris does.

We then went to have food in a crowded place where little cildren asked if they could pet me, and then we went into a quiet room, just the three of us. After a little rest we walked through the entire office floor - how many offices there were - and none of them with a door!  Really amazing! Back into the small room the ladies started talking until the lady boss and another man arrived. I think I had seen the lady boss before, but I am not sure. She sure likes me, and I like her, when Chris allows contact. then the coack came back, and the human talking continued.

Finally we left for another wonderful Hapoo walk, which lead to another house called the old school. However, it sure didn't look like a school, that much is for sure. Chris opened the door by punching numbers into a pad, and then the lock gave way. The coach showed us the way to where Chris could get food the next morning, and after two walks I knew where to go. Finally the humans and I went out for human food, and Chris says it was really delicious. After that we returned to the school house with our room inside it, and then we all called it a day - a long but successful day.

The next morning I flew to the breakfast place, where a really friendly lady helped chris get breakfast, and then we walked back upstairs to the room. the coach was already there to pick us up, and so the morning route took us back to the large house with the offices on top. More talking, one more lunch in another cantine, and a bit more talking, and then two men arrived. They took us to a kind of sitting corner with armchairs. I heard Chris saying that I am not going to sit in an armchair - what a pity, I would've loved to! Instead she knealt beside me, and the photo man took many photos of the two of us, while the other one talked with Chris. That interview continued in the small room, until the lovely coach returned. Then it was time to say goodbye and get into the waiting taxi. We went back with two trains.

on the first train Chris talked with the two ladies who were sitting beside her, and one of them helped her find the bathroom, while the other held my leash. She was impressed how I stood there and only waited for Chris to return. And then finally Chris took down their suitcases, and they headded for the door. Chris waited some more time, during which she talked to the couple beside us. They both like dogs, and I was allowed to go and ask for pets there, as well. We got off the train, were taken to another platform and waited there until another train arrived that we boarded. We got off, and as always, a lady greeted us, accompanied by Daniel, the weelchair man. Please excuse me, Mr wheelchair man, I forgot to give you a kiss then, I was so excited to be back home! Chris says it was so nice that he picked us up and took us home. We immediately went for a Hapoo walk, even though Chris now didn't only have her backpack with her, but also another bag with a laptop inside it.
And when we were upstairs in the apartment, I received my large portion of food, and then I just slept, like Chris.

I can tell you that the trip was quite exhausting, because I had to see so many new things, but I liked all the people there, and I am sure most of them liked me.
Cheers for the moment, I have to run to work, Hapoo.

busy again

Hi and hello from the hot summer town:
You kknow what is cool sometimes? Sometimes we do something without me getting a sniff of it. Yesterday.for example the wheels man was assisting Chris and the other colleague at work, and afterwards he took the two of us home. He didn't drop us off like he usually does, but he grabbed his crutches and walked upstairs with us.
I really like him a lot. He settled in the livingroom and Chris opened a bottle of whine for the humans, and he switched on the TV then.
Sports and sports and sports, that's all that counts, that is almost all her TV is capable of showing. Is there something like an exclusive deal between Chris' TV sets and the sports pictures? I don't know, but I know that football was showing, and the two had wanted to watch it anyway, so they watched together.
But the wheels man is wonderful. He let me sit by him and petted me until I lay down at his feet. And then he used his feet to scratch my back. It is allright with people I like, otherwise I don't tolerate human feet on my body, and Chris warned him of it. But I like the wheels man, that's the difference.
After football they talked some more, and then the TV watched tennis - what else?
The wheels man let me lick a drop of whine from his finger, for which I was immediately directed to my place. I tried to sneak out of that command, but Chris was rock solid.
Finally the wheels man left, and we moved over to the bedroom, where Chris immediately fell asleep.

This morning started as usual, quiet and relaxed, Chris made a few phone calls. Finally she got both of us ready to leave, and we met Daniel, the man on wheels, this time in his car, as usual. We drove to a place where the humans had a long long lunch. It was warm, but Chris was happy to sit outside.
They said that lunch was delicious, and we then finally went back to the car. We didn't go home, but to the supermarket, where I found the door with a waggiing tail. Chris says it was really nice of Daniel to help us go shopping. He has the eyes and she has the hands to reach high. She says her fridge looked like a desert, and she wanted fresh fruits, so that shopping trip was really good. And when we were finished I found the exed, ran across the parking place, only stopped at the street because Chris told me so, and then crossed that, too. I found the way home, and Chris was happy for sure. I think I have proven once again that I can be trusted, even though Chris is always a little reluctand and not too confident when it comes to learning new routes.
I virtually flew home, and Chris and Daniel both were very proud of me. Daniel did not accpmpany us, but Chris reported back to him after she had unpacked the grocery.
Now we are back and relaxing, but I feel something is in the air, just cannot name it yet. Have a good night and enjoy the nice and cool evening, cheers, Hapoo.

busy days

Hi everybody:
After the Hapoo bed had moved into the apartment, we had a bit of quiet time until the day, the wheelchair man picked us up again. I love going in his car, because he always allows me to give him a good Hapoo kiss.
We went to the furniture store, but this time we took an elevator upstairs. We went to the couches, where the humans all sat down, before we got going again. We were a small grooup and walked a lot. A really nice lady guided Chris, and I ran along. They talked and looked at things without buying any, that was really interesting. We walked through the entire store, and I could show off a great deal - I knew the way and had such fun speeding along.
Finally the nice lady tok us back to work in her car, and I enjoyed looking out the back window. At work we went to the cafeteria, where all tables were moved to the side and the chairs were put in a row. Chris found us a good place, one where I had fairly much space. Then the big boss started talking and talking, before we all were allowed to leave. I think almost everybody was in the cafeteria then, it was quite an event.
The great wheelchair man took us back home, and Chris says she enjoyed the weekend then. We really relaxed and she enjoyed the weather on the balcony.

The week started, and then just as we had returned home from the late shift, the doorbell rang and mom and the sister and the tiny dog were there. Both Chris and I were surprised, but she liked the visitors. O the sister commanded both of us dogs to our place, and so we both lay down on my Hapoo bed, trying hard not to move. Chris says she only told her tiny dog, but I preferred to also keep quiet. And then we were back to our normal routine, the weather got warmer and warmer again, and we have to go work in the late morning and return at night when temperatures are quite allright.
Cheers for the moment, Hapoo.
