The mini journey

Hi to all from the stormy coast:
Well Chris says it is nothing like the storms the Pawpower have experienced, but it is rather windy here for the moment.

You know, a few days ago Chris got up extremely early. She first had breakfast and then took me for the Hapoo walk. I must admit that I was eally tired still, but I never complain. Then she started juggling around with clothes, until she was finally wearing a dress that smelled like our old home. When the doorbell rang, I barked, of course. The cousin appeared, Chris took a bag and my leash, and off we went. We didn't have to go to far, for the man ad the children were waiting in the car.

What followed was an incredibly long car ride, until we arrived at a place I cannot recall having ever been. Chris says I hadn't been there before. But what I know is that there are many animals to see and spot - rabbits, geese, chickens, a pig - and - o Hapoo - cats! God must have had a funny day when creating those and Hapoo and Chris. I try to defend her from them, and she keeps holding me back on leash, so I can't chase them far away.

We first settled in a room where eventually many humans came in, some petted me and talked with Chris. But she and I finally went outside with a kind lady to sit in the sun and for Chris to warm up. All others and many more finally came outside. Mom then picked me up and I had Chris follow, and we went inside a church I hadn't seen before. I think it is smaller than ours at mom's home.
I first lay down quietly, so Chris didn't hold my leash so tight. And well, what do you do when you spot a cat? Jump up and run fast, once around the two seating blocks. i had to slow down then, because I heard Chris calling me - hm where's the cat? Gone I think, somebody must've let him out or rescued him. I lay with the cousin then, and then there was no more chance tu chase cats all the time long. But this one was a brilliant introduction of my beautiful self in action, don't you think? Everybudy must have seen my brave efforts.

Well then came what always comes, folks talking. One of Chris' sisters - I dn't see her too often - was sitting in front with her man, annd their kids also were there. I like the two girls, they are nice. Chris says that the sister and her man finally got married at church, though they had been married by law before. Allright, cool if you can have a huge party twice, but I don't think I attended the first one. Chris says there was no first one - huh? Let's not talk about that, it's too confusing.

We then went outside, where there were people, cakes and more people, and cats to spot. I tried, I tried to chase once more. We were at a table with the sister's husband who usually pets me really long, and other people. while Chris was having cake, she told the husband to hold my leash, hold it tight. He did, and thus destroyed yet another attempt to run after a cat. And I attempted hard, was going to dash right through under the table and race the spitter - no way! You stay and behave!
O well we then changed locations. I remember having been there, it is a former castle with a really steep staircase inside it that even turns around and around. We got a room there where we rested a little, and Chris warmed up her feet, and there were no more cats to run after. Chris says that was very relaxing.

From then on it was allright and boring. Chris talked to many people, had a chat with the sister who has arrived with the tiny dog, and we had food, of course. There was a fire outside and folks talking, too many people, if you ask me. I was quite happy when Chris and I went upstairs for her to sleep, so I, too, could sleep. mom took me outside in the early morning, because I had to go - I love mom anyway, and I did behave, promise.

We had breakfast - I mean the humans did, I just got a piece of carrot to chew on, and then it was back into the car and a long journey home. I was quite glad when Chris finally brought out the flexible leash and we could walk our usual Hapoo route. Now it's back to working and sleeping, what a nice change, but I think soon we will be off to somewhere else, and I will update you, should anything cool happen.

O and by the way, I heard Petra saying that baby Quito is now almost as tall as I am, and she is smart in my opinion, she manages to open drawers already. I never figured out how to do that. But Chris says that ain't smart at all, and if Quito tries to pull that one on her, she'll tell her tat drawers are not there for woofer noses, and in hers there's nothing to eat anyway. Tough luck Quito, but maybe in her puppy kindergarten there is? Then I should come and see her and watch her do that.
Cheers for the moment, Chris has to get ready for work, Hapoo.

the bad and the silly

Hi every single one of my faithful readers:
On Sunday, do you know what I did? Well, might have been Monday, I am not sure. I had some apple, and then later I ate grass off the ground. If you have too much of it, you do cean your stomach the way humans don't like it. I woke Chris up in the middle of the night, ecause I was chewing and licking the air hard, and I walked around and id not go to my place. So Chris got up and I think she was ready to take me out in the middle of the night. But I just stood and threw up. She managed to get me off the carpet, and then she cleaned up after me. But she was not mad I think, she says you have to clean your stomach evry now and then. And once she was done cleaning, I went to my bed and slept, just like Chris did.

then yesterday, like the day before, mom came, and I tried to sing her the loudest song possible, which Chris stopped, fun spoiler that she is. the ladies had lunch, Chris took me for a walk, and mom ironed clothes, like she always does. And then we went to the city, and I had to find the right traffic light and so on. Chris got a hair cut and almost fell asleep during it. She says it was very relaxing. I got a drink, nice hair cutter ladies! Then we went and shopped and shopped for Chris and mom, and then finally we went intt a flower shop, where they bought a lot. Mom carried bags and Chris did, and she told me to find the way myself and walk. Furst I didn't want to, because it is much more convenient to follow mom, but Chris gave me no choice. So I spotted a bench and showed it to Chris, so she might sit down and rest. She just had me show it, praised me and then we walked on. But then I brought out my running feet and went speeding to the streetcar station. Mom had trouble following us, but Chris said she let me run, because that made me happy and focused. Cool Chris, that was really fun.
Today we did not start off working in the couch corner with the fluffy carpet, but Chris told me to go to the cafeteria instead, where she sat down on a sofa, and soon the cousin came to pet me and talk with Chris. That was really nice. And Chris worked in between, of course.
I think we will go travelling soon, I can feel it, and that will be fun. And of course, I will update you on anything else that happens.
Cheers for the moment, Hapoo.

The fun evening

Hi all:
Yesterday we came back from work with Eric, which was really cool. But Chris and he almost immediately went into the kitchen, where Eric prepared a salad, and Chris prepared some bread with tomato and cheese or so.
When the doorbell rang, I knew something was wrong. But when I saw one of my favourite ladies from work, I went to greet her in the hallway, which Chris did not find too amusing. And then, when the lady, too, disappeared in the kitchen, I very quietly walked into the kitchen to get a pet or two, but the lady made a mistake. She told me nice words, which meant that I was immediately prompted to go to my place. No choice, I had to go, because I so know that the kitchen is not the place for me to go at all.
the doorbell rang again, and the tall telephone man arrived. They came back out of the kitchen, and then they had a long dinner, during which all but Eric talked and laughed, it was cool. Finally Chris tok me outside. And when we came back, there was a really cool guy in the apartment. He is calm and always gives me pets. Even Chris cannot deny him that privilege. Only when he distracts me too obviously, she tells him off. But I think he ias figured out by now when it is semi-allright to pet me.
The three left too soon, but Eric stayed. However, Chris and Ieft him after a while, and so the day ended. It was cool the gt-together, and the humans all said that they had eaten way too much - as always once they get started.
Cheers, Hapoo.
