Hi friends:
We did not do anything that you might find exciting, with the exception that from last night on our house got livelier. First sister Suse and Lena returned from their holidays at sister Anna’s, they are going to stay with us over the weekend. Then this morning after Chris had gone upstairs, sister Dorothee and her husband and son arrived. This was the point at which my long loneliness started. Chris spent quite some time upstairs, lying on the balcony I suppose, for the day was sunny and hot, which she loves more than the beautiful snow. Only occasionally did Chris come downstairs to enjoy the cool temperatures of the basement. Once she allowed me to come upstairs on the balcony, but my shady spot was occupied by Lena’s little swimming pool, which they had just filled with water. So nothing to drink for me either. That was still better than being alone downstairs all the time. However, Chris took me downstairs after a while, but came with me, only to turn on the computer. Never mind, as long as she is near enough.
That’s all I can report for now. Just wait till Chris’ friend and her husband arrive, that’ll be an eventful day when we go on a trip! Have as much sun as Chris and I have, yours, Hapoo.

Hi friends:
So now that you have read the previous blog, let me tell you what happened:
Sunday after we had arrived at the central train station to go back home, we spent some time having Shadow’s favourite ice-cream – I mean mom and Chris, of course! Then back to the station, buy some newspapers and read them. Mom decided she wanted to go to the bathroom. That bathroom was fun, very spacious and quiet, a special one for the disabled, mom said. As we were going out, mom realized that she had forgotten her handbag and my harness in the ticket aria, where a few seats provide for a little comfort. Back upstairs we went, only to find the harness. Nobody had even seen mom’s handbag. She was really sad and uneasy. She thought she had left her personal ID in there, but while we were sitting on the platform she checked again and found that the ID was there. The only thing she had put into her handbag were a few cigarettes and her permanent exhibition membership. She said it did not matter if the handbag got lost, it was not beautiful anyway.

This afternoon we went to the city again to attend a seminary at university. We had originally planned to go to the exhibition again, but mom was too tired. So Chris and she had ice-cream again and then went just a little shopping. Back at the train station mom asked for her handbag. The station staff had called last night to tell her that it had been found and handed in. We had to wait just a little to get it back with everything inside. It was found in a trash can. He thief must have been very disappointed to find no money or valuable things inside.
Then we went grocery shopping again, where I had to wait outside. Back on the platform I spent some time watching a pigeon, and suddenly ran to catch it. Chris called me back and put me down on the floor in front of her feet. And this time down meant that I was not even allowed to put my head up to look for that bird! Too bad, too bad!
But after all this Chris took grandpa Ajax and me for a nice walk and then left me downstairs, where it is nice and cool. I don’t mean to say that I enjoy being left behind, but I know she does that occasionally when she wants to watch TV upstairs. So all that’s left for me to do tonight is wait for my food and sleep, yours, Hapoo.

Hi friends:
So many things have happened that I really don’t know where to start.
Well, I have told you about Bianca’s visit and going to the city with mom haven’t I? Yesterday, after another long week of constant tennis watching in the afternoons, Chris discovered another hobby. She spent her evening in front of the TV, watching people singing. Different people sang different songs in different languages. Chris watched all on her own, commenting on how excellent or how lousy she thought the music was. And then finally she took out her note taking device and wrote down numbers after numbers, which were announced on TV. And all this has two different names. Chris says that in former times this strange event was called “Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson but in modern times they call it “Eurovision Song Contest, and the Germans simply refer to it as Grand Prix. Strange, don’t you think?

Then this morning we went to the city, but took another train, as if we wanted to go to the beach of the beautiful Baltic Sea – well at least that’s what Shadow thinks. I for one hate this ever-moving water. Anyway, we fortunately got off earlier and spent the day wandering around in a gigantic park. Mom looked at all kinds of flowers, and twice we stopped on a meadow, where mom and Chris rested on comfortable chairs. The weather was quite hot, so Chris pored water over my head and neck, which I thought was stupid. Why would one do that? I don’t need water on me, I just need it to drink, or for an occasional bath! I wish somebody could tell her to stop this silly thing! Chris says it is good for me and cools me a little, but I hate it anyway. For lunch we went up a very noisy flight of steps, those you can see through. This used to be a ship, and on the upper level of it they have set up a restaurant. I got water, and the ladies enjoyed some fish and coffee. As always, I am not getting the delicious stuff!
I think they needed to take a good rest before they headed off for the next event. They first talked to a lady about something I did not understand, but referred to me. The lady must have given them a positive answer, so we went on somewhere, where they talked to another man, who seems to have agreed as well. A really short train or very strange car stopped, and we went on. The cabin was nice and spacious, and it was only the three of us there. When it moved, I realized that we were going up, and it was rocking as if it was hanging on a rope! We went up and all across the aria we had walked through before, and some more places. We could see people on their balconies, musicians performing and strange gardens and flowers. Mom loved it, and Chris was very relaxed. She even petted me to give me comfort. God, why do humans have to come up with really strange vehicles to transport them? Why couldn’t they just have gone by a simple train or bus? We almost arrived where we had gotten on this strange cabin, which was stopped by a nice lady, so we could get off all right. Then Chris permitted the lady to pet me, which was really nice. And then it was park, sun flowers again. What’s so nice about flowers and meadows, when you can’t run and dig? Chris never took me off the leash, except for one time nobody was looking, but just for three minutes!

And remind me to tell you what happened before we took our train back h9ome, that’s another story, and it would be too much for you nice people to read. Have a wonderful time and met me mention that Chris bought herself another fridge magnet, yours, Hapoo.

Hello to all:
Sorry, something was wrong with the server, so nothing was posted until now.
Have I told you that I can find eggs in the grass and open them?
Must have been last Sunday, when mom was curious to know what I was doing on a particular spot on the neighbour's property. She discovered that his hens lay their eggs there occasionally. Nobody has prevented me from opening these eggs and eating them - hmmm, that was wonderful! Chris has said that Iam a smart dog, and so has Khodadad, when she told him the story. See, I am special after all!
So far so good. Yesterday and today we went to the city, where Chris bought herself another t-shirt and shorts. Must be getting summer. I will go sleep now and you enjoy your day, yours, Hapoo.

Hello all friends:
This is strange: n one hand I am happy our two visitors are gone, but on the other hand I miss them. At least there was another dog in my company, even though I could not play or do anything with her. nd then Bianca was there to pet me when Chris did not want. That was nice, but now I am all alone again!
I guess Shadow called last night, which was good for Chris. She told him my latest story, which shows, as she says, that I am not stupid:

When we went for our evening walk last night I ran free and went to a particular spot on the neighbour's property. I always do that. Mom noticed and decided she wanted to see what I was doing. The neighbour's hens lay their eggs in a bush. I have discovered their hiding and decided to open and eat the eggs, since nobody has called me back. When mom discovered and told it to Chris, Chris had a good laugh. She did not shout at me, so I guess she is not too angry. She says eggs are healthy, so I hope she will let me check on that hiding forever,
Was that good or what? I go lie down and smell the coffee and the roles warming up in the oven and then will watch Chris and mom have breakfast, yours, Hapoo.

Hello friends:
Now that friend Bianca and Missie are gone, I really miss them. Mis is not the kind of dog I could be happy with. She always stays beside her master and hardly ever runs in front of her. Whenever I bark she hides behind Les. So no chance for me to play with her, unfortunately. Bue Bianca is fine, she pets me occasionally and does not seem to be afraid of me. She and Chris talked a lot and Bianca even worked on Chris' computer, while Chris sat in the rocking chair only talking. I don't know what that was for, but whenever they finished a session they seemed to be satisfied with whatever they had achieved.
This morning we took the two guests to the train station. I hate doing that, for Chris never permits me to go on the train, which I thought the purpose of a train station and a stopping train was all about! Well, I never claimed I could completely understand humans!
The weather was so nice that we then went for a longer walk in the afternoon. Once we almost made a bicycle rider fall, when we tried to avoid him going to the side of the road he wanted to go to as well. But when he drove past us on his way back he said everything was all right.
No more misbehaviours from my side to report about, nd what about you? You readers are so quiet it's boring! You never talk to me or tell me that you can understand my joy or anger! Anyone reading this bull - umm, Chris just told me not to write what I wanted to write...
Okay, all for now, she's getting impatient, yours, Hpoo.

Hello everybody:
I have been living in my apartment with this other dog for quite a while now, and I can tel oyu it's not too bad. Whenever Missie wants to get to close to my mat, I growl and she backs off. But the bad thing is that she never ever wants to play with me! She just always hdes behind her owner when we go out and I want to encourage her to play. But generally she is nice and easy to deal with. Chris seems to like both her owner nd Missie. Sometimes she pets her and sends me to my mat. God that's bad!
Yesterday we got chewing bones after a long time. I was busy chewing it for quite some time, but I still have most of the bone here to protect from Missie. So you see, we have a lot of fun here, I hope you are in a good mood yourselves and are enjoying your week, yours, Hapoo.

Hello to all of my friends:
This morning Chris and I had a major fight again. Grandpa Ajax and I thought it was a nice break of our routine, if we went and chased a cat. I heard Chris calling, but that cat was too much of a temptation for me. So I did not return. And when I did - hell, did she teach me to regret! She made me stay at a spot and took me back there twice, because I had reacted to mom's calling! And then walking right at her side was on schedule, which I do not like much at all. I enjoy pulling and leading!
Honestly, somebody pass a law that makes stopping dogs from chasing cats illegal!
Generally Chris has recently picked up the idea of breaking my routine again. She makes me walk unusual routes where I think she wants to go the usual ones. I hate that, because she forces me to listen to her commands where I am used to working on my own. But grant her, she always praises me when I do an exercise right!
This afternoon another friend with her dog is coming, I think we have hosted them bevore. I don't like other dogs in my territories. Chris also takes care of them and does not permit me to be jealous. And that particular dog, Missie, always gets food earlier than me, and at night we dogs are left alone with Les, the friend.
We'll see how it goes, and I will report whenever Chris gives me permission to train my paws on the PC, bye for now, yours, Hapoo.

Hello everybody:
Here’s part two of my escalator story. Two days ago Chris finally remembered that there was the harness hanging near all her jackets – actually, that was just yesterday. So we first went for our after lunch walk and then she put the harness on me and we went to the train station. Chris must have been very satisfied with me. We took a street car Chris calls Straßenbahn, which now goes from just inside the train station. We no longer use the bus that goes from somewhere outside. Teenage girl gave us a seat, which mom and Chris thought was very friendly and considerate. Of course, I had to sit or lie on the floor in front of Chris.

In the city we very quickly walked through the shopping street without even taking a glance at all the stores. Instead we went into a house cannot recall having been inside. There we went into one of those characteristic rooms, where nothing else happens but one person standing and the rest sitting, one person talking and the rest writing, listening or sleeping. Apparrently the topic was interesting, for Chris did not sleep but had fun listening.

When that was finished we went to this café Shadow and Chris and I always go to. There the ladies had ice-cream and coffee. And then the shopping tour finally started. Their major shopping this time was in a book store, where they really bought a lot. And in order to make the thing more adventurous for me, Chris decided it was time to check my escalator skills. We went up n escalator, but she did not like the way I went off, so we did it just again. I did not have to change much, but Chris did. Instead of holding on to harness and leash Chris grabbed the back strap rather than the handle, but kept the leash in her hand, and then at one point told me to get off. She thought it worked much better this way and gave me a delicious treat and petted me. I thought I should make mom’s present be useful too, so I asked her for praise, which she gave me as well.

Then off into another store, since we still had a lot of time left till the next train home left. There we first took an upward escalator and handed in some papers. For the way down this time we did not take the elevator, but also an escalator. Man, this is uncomfortable: You have to stand back paws two steps higher than front legs and you are not permitted or given the possibility to go for a big jump. Instead you are told to stay where you are head down, watching mom and obeying to Chris. Finally she releases you with a command and only then you are allowed to jump. But by that time you don’t need to, you just have to take a big step down from that stupid invention. Chris told me I had done a really good job and gave me treats, but if it hadn’t been for her I would have rather taken the elevator or regular steps. And I guess she only got the idea of practising escalators after this one time Shadow and her were about to take n escalator, but when she remembered I did not know how to she yelled “No and they returned. Shadow claims he got a heart attack. Well, don’t you have to go to hospital after such thing has happened? Okay, Shadow is gone, but he still calls and emails from what I gather from Chris, and I am not sure if you are permitted to do these in a hospital. So I guess he just left for across the water and is as healthy as always and had just talked bullshit after all!!

Today we did not do much. Much to my disliking Chris has remembered the obedience exercises. Both this morning and evening I was not quite willing to stay where she had put me, so she got quite angry and repeated the exercises until I did what she thought I should do. Damn, why does she always have to be so strict when it comes to obedience? She never asks if I am in the mood for those training units!! Okay, I will not shout too loudly, I have not yet gotten my meal today Have a good evening with a full stomach, yours, Hapoo.

Hello folks, hi from sunny Germany:
Today it was sunny, but yesterday it must have rained so badly, that sister Suse decided to take Dicker into my corridor. He stayed there over night, except fr the two times either Chris or sister took him for a walk. That was no fun, because I was not permitted to play with Dicker while he was on the leash.
This morning we walked alone without our grandpa, and Chris made me jump and run a lot while friend Bianka stood there smoking. Does anybody ever get the sense of smoking? You just stand there outside or walk, holding something bad-smelling in your hand, so what? I have seen Chris doing so on few occasions, but unfortunately I failed to bite her then.
This afternoon the three of us, Bianka, Chris and I went on our long route twice. I enjoyed smelling everywhere and running back and forth, and the weather was so nice that both ldies enjoyed their walk as well, at least they had nice talks and did not much care about me. Good, I could run wherever I wanted, as long as it was on Chris' left side.
I hope your days are as sunny and you get as many nice phone callls as Chris, hopefully from nice people like Shadow, yours, Hapoo.
