Meeting with the cold

Hi all over:

I finally did meet the big boss - what great excitement. The poor man
has just lost his own dog, the coolest and biggest one I've ever met.
She never liked it when I stole her sticks, so I wasn't allowed to play
with her much. But seeing the big boss was such joy! I can jump as high
as I want, I will still not be able to reach his cheek for a good kiss!
We went to the big supermarket place, where the humans had food and I
got water, and then we went shopping a little, and then we went back
home. The humans had a lot to talk about, and the yseemed to enjoy each
other's company a lot - as always. It had gotten so cold by then, that
going to the beach was not an option for them. I think I would have
loved it!
It was cold all weekend, s that Chris finally took out her warmest
winter clothes. We have something new in our apartment - a huge wardrobe
in the office. I tried to climb inside, but there was nothing in there,
so it was a boring game, and except that Chris had a good laugh nothing
exciting happened. She was busy putting things inside - she claims it is
all for Mr Sun - but if that's the truth, then where is Mr Sun, I ask? I
think humans are all crazy!
I like to play outside, and it diesn't matter how cold it is. Two
mornings ago Chris and I went to the city and waited in the big store,
only for Chris to receive a call ad then return. She says we were
supposed to meet Micki, but her car went on strike in the middle of the
highway, so she was unable to come. So I guided Chris to the right
streetcar stop, and then we went home. She says it is no humanitarian
measre of mine to go play in that cold weather - but I am a dog and not
a human!
I think today we are going back to wrk, at least the backpack and the
lady look much like that.
Have a good day everbody, Quito.

We are never bored!

Allright, here's another tale of me and Chris.
Even though it is not spectacular, there is always something going on in
our lives.
Last week one evening Micki and Chris and I went to chase arrows in the
furniture store, but I was not allowed to chase so many. The ladies were
busy loading carts with heavy packages, and then, of coourse, they also
went to have food for humans. Chris also needed batteries for her
telephones - that's amazing, as they never cease to ring. I thought they
were working perfectly!
The next day we took the streetcar and then I saw sister Suse walking
towards us. We went into that store again where Chris tries on dresses -
well it is alwaysthe same for quite a while now, and Chris always thinks
that it is beautiful and she feels great in it.They all agreed she needs
to lose a bit of weight, but II am not sure why that is - she is good
with or without weights - and carrying a backpack around is also some
weight, isn't it? Then the sisters left me in the car, and they went to
small shops without me. I did not manage to climb to the front seat,
unfortunately. The great Suse took me home, and then things were as normal.
Oh, almost normal, because we are going to have lunch in another house
now, past Daniel's car and then to the right. I love finding the
entrance, and then I meet cousin Anne, which is wonderful. Daniel went
with us, and the humans agreed that the food was quite nice.
And then one day Chris harnessed me up and we went to the streetcar
stop. But Chris said we were not going to the city, so she made me cross
the streetcar tracks and go to the other shelter on the other side. Wuat
a pity - we were not entering the streetcar when it arrived, but we
waited until it had left, and then we found Chris' friend who is not too
fond of me. We took her home with us, and then a very boring weekend
started. Well not eally boring, for early Saturday morning sister Suse
surprisingly showed up an had breakfast with us, and I was given the
chance to play with her a little. I so love to jump up on her and wash
her face or smell her legs if I can, if they don't hide in the kitchen
that is! For kitchen - that has not changed - is a nogo for me.
And yesterday Micha came, I like him, too, and he and Chris were doing
something in the office, where Chris and I usually stay. The entire
apartment smells like furniture store now. I think they are setting up
some furniture there, and I will see what it is when it is finished. I
gues nothing interesting, for it will be closed with doors only humans
can open.
Maybe we will meet Micki or the sister soon, or maybe, maybe the big
boss who I have not seen for ages! I heard Chris talking with him!
And just wait until Mr Sun comes! Maybe he brings his mama and the
coolest brother on earth - for Chris has none - and then if Suse is also
around, I will have a great time playing and jumping, I am sure!
Have a good time, enjoy the snow while it is lying on the ground, Quito.

Hapyy new something

Hello all woofs and else,

this was a really strange time. Chris and many other people kept saying
happy new year! Why new year? And why was everything so noisy one night?
Chris took me out, and already then we had quite some strange noise
outside. There were loads of thunder strucks, which I was quite
uncertain about. Fortunately, Chris did not take me outside any more, so
I could stay inside and rest and sleep. At night she watched TV,
listened to the radio and read something and played computer. Inbetween
- what else - she talked with Mr. Sun, who was out somewhere, drinking
to the new year. Has it gotten new clothes, a new apartment, a new ring,
or what? Well, soon it was apparently time for us and the new year but
as hard asI was looking around, there was nothing new to be found. My
bed was the same, Chris' was the same - nobody came to visit - it is a
mystery and will remain one until I die, I suppose. Well, Chris says it
is another thing about human numbers, which I din't considder my
business anyway. So Chris and Mr. Sun and his mum, the friendly lady,
kept talking and talking, and then Chris finally went to bed and slept
fairly late. The next day all the noise was gone, but there strange
objects lying on the ground, and strange smells in the air. We were off,
went to work the next day, where the happy wishes continued being tossed
back and forth. And from then on everything remained the same as always.
Mr. Sun is learning German full force, and two days ago I finally saw
sister Suse, greeted her in a big storm and she had to take me back to
my place.
Oh, I have to tell you that there was a change. Chris has put a bell
back on my collar, so she can track me when I am running free during our
plaz break at work.
Allright, Chris wants to go to the kitchen to prepare some human food.
All the best, enjoy your time, Quito.
