What happened then

Well, after the journey to see Mr Mylove, Chris and I had a few quiet
days, until the friend of hers came who doesn't like dogs too much. The
days continued to be quiet, but the company was nice. And before that
visit we went major shopping with yet another friend, who is apparently
going to move to Berlin soon. Pity, bedcause she is great fun and a fast
speaker and full of energy.

then after yet another bunch of normal days, Chris became active in the
bedroom. I tried to follow her, and all of a sudden the bed was no
longer complete. I could jump into a kind of fenced area where she used
to sleep, and play around there. And not much later all the fence was
gone, too, all the parts of the bed had moved into the corridor, where
Chris had put them against the wall. Chris slept on a matress on the
floor, but I am such a good dog, I didn't bother her there.

The next afternoon Micki arrived, and I wanted to play with her so
badly, which Chris did not permit. Instead Micki left the place, Chris
sent me to my bed and made sure I stayed there, and left. Okay, so I
stayed on my bed and waited till they returned. They did, and so Chris
says, some two hours later. Chris said I was a good girl for being alone
and not carrying anything away. They took me outside and into the car,
and we went to the furniture store. There they picked up a cart with two
items, put them in the car, tied the trunk door so it wouldn't flip
open, and then we went to pick up a few small ones and then the humans
had food and a bit of talking, before we all left. They took me and a
fluffy roll of something upstairs first, put the other box into the
basement, and then Micki left, and Chris and I went for the dog walk.

Micki then called and said that she hit an antler on the highway, and
that her knees were still trembling with that scare. Only the car was
damaged, and probably the antler, but Micki did not suffer any injuries.
When Chris called Mylove, he made her laugh, and she told micki what he
had told her.

Chris claims that all the other boxes she had bought that day are in the
basement, and soon another friend is going to visit, and we will set up
the parts of the boxes, so they make a new bed. In the meantime the old
matress has moved into the corridor, and the new one is on the floor,
and Chris sleeps on that. I can't wait to see whether it is true those
parts in the boxes turn into a bed, but I have learnt to believe Chris,
for what she says is usually true.
Cheers for the moment, yours curiously, Quito.

Another journey

So we went by one train, and when we got off, a man took us to another
platform, where we met a colleague from work. He and I got on another
train, but he got off earlier than us. Another little while later,
another man got off. Chris says he had been making sure that she and I
were all right all the while, even though they hadn't known each other.

Finally we got off, too, and this time, a lady met us at the end of the
platform. I certainly have never met her, and Chris says neither has
she. I think she was very nice and quite relaxed, so we sat down, the
ladies had coffee and talked while I lay down and rested. Then the lady
took us to another train, showed us a really comfortable seat, and left.
I hope we'll meet her again, she is a great story teller, Chris says.

When we got off this time, a lady helped us find a bench, after first
assuming Chris was searching for a bank. She took her telephone and
listened to some music, until Mylove appeared out of nowhere. Yippee, I
love Mylove! He took us home, they had a little something to eat, and
then we all went to sleep.

The next day was spent relaxing. We went into a park and then into an
outdoor restaurant where the humans had a drink and Chris picked up a
sun burn, and then we went home to relax some more.

The next day Mylove took us to the train station, where he said goodbye,
and a man helped us board a train. When we got off, another lady met us,
I have seen her before and she is pretty cool. We went shopping forst,
then to her apartment, where the ladies had lunch and talks. Then we
went into a great park, where we walked along andthe ladies talked some
more, before we went back to the apartment, Chris lay down in a water
bed for the first time in her life, and they had cake on the balcony.
During that Chris made me stay inside on the cool tials, because she
thought it was really too hot for me out there. It was really warm, and
I took the chance to nap, before it was time to head for the train
station again.

When we left the train this time, Mylove was there waiting for us. We
stopped in a shopping center, where he picked up somethng I could not
identify, and then went home, where the mystere proved to be a foldable
seat, which also prooved to be more stable than Chris had expected.

So the next morning we picked up another one, and then they went to find
Chris dresses.

Chris says Mylove is a great person to shop with. After no more than ten
minutes he had found two dresses for her, and she loves them both. Then
we went home, and the remaining day and a bit was spent relaxing,
because Mylove was not feeling too well, unfortunately. And then it was
time to go home again, we even took the streetcar instead of the taxi.
It is good to be home, but it is best when a favourite person is around.

Byebye, Chris is chasing me off the keys because we have to go to work,
cheers, Quito.

We are explorers!

Hello to all of you out there:

Don't blame me, blame Chris if you like! The holds the key to the blog,
and I can only type when she permits it!

Before she thinks of reasons to stop me, I will tell you about my
adventures right away.

While we were on holidays, which means no going to work, we did meet up
with Daniel on wheels a few times. Once we met outside to walk to the
larger grocery store, where the humans had breakfast first, and then
picked up some grocery. Then we walked home and had a lazy day. On the
way, Daniel showed Chris how to get to the grocery store.

A couple of days later we walked there again, and I ran towards the
entrance, I really love it when I know where to go and can show off.

Another day Chris and I went to the streetcar station, where we met
Daniel, got on a train together, got off after a few stops, and then
Daniel stayed back and talked to Chris, who gave me instructions. We
walked into a house I had never been to before, a huge one it was. Chris
directed me to walk across a spaceous central square, after which we
found an elevator, went upstairs and found an office, where Chris talked
with a lady. When she finished doing that, she directed me to the exit
we had previously entered the building, we turned and did the tour
again. And guess what happened: I knew the way and displayed all my
excellence to Chris' and Daniel's amazement.
As a reward, I lay down near the elevator doors, the humans talked, and
afterwards they went to have lunch, met a friend and later we all left.
I guided Chris to the streetcar stop, and i think I did a fantastic job.

A few days later we walked to the usual streetcar station gain, and out
of one train stepped Micki, great Micki! I squeaked, swirled and jumped,
but Micki did not even touch me and sat down instead. Chris made me lie
down and be quiet. After a little while she got up and I thought now was
the time to greet Micki enthusiastically. immediately Chris sat back
down, made me lie under the bench again and kept quiet. Then Micki got
up, but Chris didn't move. Micki sat down again, and then Chris got up,
commanded e to stand, picked up the harness handle, and we all walked to
the usual grocery store for a little stroll.

The humans stayed on the balcony, where they had some cake and coffee,
and Micki really liked the arrangement Mr Mylove had set up out there.

We went outside for the dog walk, and I had fun playing with Micki and
walking across the meadows and down the slope with the ladies.

Then the rain started, but Chris closed the glass windows, and it was
still so warm that they could sit outside.

After the thunder had gone, they took me outside again. Micki needed
cigarettes, so we went to the grocery store near the usual bakery, and
on the way it started to rain heavily again. In the store the ladies
decided this was a perfect night for red wine and ice-cream, so those
were bought, too, and then we walked home through the rain, where Chris
dried me as well as she could, and the ladies went back on the balcony,
continued talking and had a great time. And when it was time to sleep,
Chris talked briefly with Mr Mylove, and then we all slept.

in the morning they both prepared a huge breakfast, talked and then
packed bags. Soon Chris lifted the huge backpack on her shoulders. She
says it contained a vacuum cleaner, which she had bought with Mr Daniel
on wheels at one point, when she left me in his car and went shopping
without me but with Daniel. I didn't see a vacuum cleaner, but so far
Chris has never lied to me.

Micki took Chris to the service desk at the central train station, and
then she said goodbye and went to her own home.

The vacuum story is to follow soon. Byebye for now, and keep nudging
Chris for more Quito stories!
